CX9 2010
I have a 2008 cx-9. All of a sudden, both fans have stopped working so engine temp heats up very quickly. Also air cond only blows in hot air. Thought it might be the fuses but both are ok. If anyone has any suggestions, they would be very appreciated Thanks

Well, not sure about the engine temp issue, but the A/C one is easy. If you search the forum you will find threads regarding "A/C" and "blower starts blowing when key is turned off." It is not a fuse issue, but a relay issue under the hood in a relay box. Let us know how it goes. The engine temp thing says thermostat issue to me.

Lindyrect, thanks for the quick response, much appreciated partic on a long weekend. did see the blower motor issue and was trying to find the relay box. Can you tell me where it is? I found a wiring diagram online which shows both fans controlled by the same relay, hoping that is the issue rather than the thermostat. Again, thanks for getting back to me

Lindyrect, found the relay box and the relays in question. Stupid question but how do i know if the relay is broken? It isnt like a fuse where I can see the break. Thanks for the help

All fixed

Lindyrect, thanks for all the help. All fixed. toggled the relays and now all is fine. Fun way to spend an afternoon

Toggling the relays will work for a short time until they stick again. New relays are $24 a piece. If it happens again, just replace the two relays in the box. Sorry for the late response, but it was sleepy time over here.
