the rear seat entertainment system. I like the idea of it being covered by warranty. Just not so sure if MazdaUSA will cover it.

I can guarantee you that MazdaUSA will not cover it.
These accessories are installed at the ports of entry to that country.
The list for Australia is different from that of USA, and different from that of Canada also (where a Nerf bar is offered for CX9).
The decision is made locally ... what to put on the list.
