CX-7 Price Comparison

Hello! everyone I'm new here and I just wanted to know everyone's opinion on this. My girl and I bought our second car besides my ACURA RSX-S. My questions was if I did got a good deal on this one?

Mazda CX-7: sport: AWD: w/tech package

Price was $ 30400, cash back went down to 28916, after taxes was $ 30150. Down payment of $3000 at 7.5 financing. She did gave as a good deal on the insurance at $89 a month full coverage compared to some that it was around $150+ for insurance. I searched at EDMUNDS.COM the TMV (true market value)pricing what others pay was still at 29911. Did we got a good deal here?

Thanks:)

Sounds like a pretty good deal to me...finance rates are high right now, but 7.5 doesn't sound too bad to me. You can always refinance and try for a lower rate. BTW congrats on the purchase!

Thanks VERM it does seem that the dealers were honest enough to give us the car at that price and even recommended on the great insurance price. We did not even bother to rattle them with deals cause it seems good price already. No matter how I tried to play it at Edmunds "vs"(e.g.. cash back vs financing) etc... its still ended up buy the car or take the financing. Thanks again man!

We were able to get ours for 5.9%. Insurance came out to be @$900 a year w/ $200 deductable.

I was just about to post the basic question to see what others are paying. I haven't bought yet but I too went to edmunds and the best I found was the dealer invoice price and it was what edmunds posted as the invoice price. The price they listed for "what others are paying" is not much different than the MSRP.

As I live in Alaska and have the luxury of being able to buy in Washington or Arizona the best I've come up with is a dealer in Washington. With either state I don't have to pay sale tax but Arrizona will make me pay the city tax of 1.9%

I was hoping to get below dealer invoice but no such luck yet.

When I enter the Arizona zip or Washington Zip codes I'm not finding any cash back deals?

I forgot the insurance quoted me was 360 for 6 months with $100 deductable but I'm a 60 yr old fart so that maybe why I'm cheaper than the above post.

I think we got a pretty good deal. We paid just under $23K OTD for a Sport. This price included tax (7%) title and all of that other crap. I'm pretty happy with the price. Did not hurt that I take no prisioners with business and the salesman had only worked 1 day. LOL

We got a AWD Touring w/Tech package for 26,8XX after a $5000 down payment, taxes, tag, title, etc. We were able to get a 4.99% rate with our Credit Union.

As I'm trying to ask everyone if we did get a good deal. I guess I'll have to compare with what you guys got.

Rex: WOW! you got it for 268XX "OTD" after $5000+ taxes etc... on an 4.99% at 3.0% tax? that's a touring AWD w/tech right? Is your monthly somwhere at $370.00 a month giving a 72 term (edmunds calulator).

The TMV price was $31655 for your trim and specs. If you got it at $268XX that's between MSRP and INVOICE w/o the TECH or are you just really good at dealings.(ughdance)

Was that just a basic sport?

I don't mind everyone bragging on how much they got their CX-7 at a very low price, I would be proud myself. Almost everyone had their on the base "OTD" price and that's w/tech. Making Tech some what $1000 instead of a $4000 option price. Be honest(omg)

Grand Touring Styles (MSRP: $26,300 - $28,000)
4dr SUV Auto. 2.3L 4cyl
4dr SUV AWD Auto. 2.3L 4cyl
Sport Styles (MSRP: $23,750 - $25,450)
4dr SUV Auto. 2.3L 4cyl
4dr SUV AWD Auto. 2.3L 4cyl
Touring Styles (MSRP: $25,500 - $27,200)
4dr SUV Auto. 2.3L 4cyl
4dr SUV AWD Auto. 2.3L 4cyl

+ tech PKG.

I guess I was just asking if we got a good deal given the details on my first post and hopefully that "company loves misery" is not included package in this thread. Did we got a good deal?

i got mine for 24,000 with 0 down and 7.0apr with 530 month payment!!! sport!!

I'm buying mine out of the Seattle area and I just now asked for a breakdown of prices. The guy I'm talking to quoted me MSRP as being 32800,Invoice at 30,441 and his quote to me is 30,241.
Using edmounds I was coming up with MSRP at 33645, invoice at 31,110 so I requested a listing of the options.
I hope he didn't miss something but I would guess he did.
At least I don't have to pay the 8% + sales tax

(first) IF YOU ARE HAPPY WITH YOUR DEAL - THEN YOU GOT A GOOD DEAL !!(peep)

I paid $27371.95 for a white AWD GT with no other options.

Invoice pricing from Edmunds
AWD GT $26188
White $174
Delivery $560
----------------
$26922

That was my target price. The dealer added a $200 advertising fee (all dealers quoted this fee) and his $249.95 admin fee. As far as I am concerned I paid $450 over invoice or $27371. It took a couple of phone calls to find the right car at this price and I had to drive 150 miles to Kansas City to make it happen. Generally I got the impression that invoice deals should be doable without extended amounts of pain. Taxes/Licensing added another $1900.

Yeah! I guess we're happy. It's just some friends are chattering about saying " We, it, maybe lower the qoute $2000 less ". I'm not an expert buyer but I do research on this. Edumnds gave us a TMV price, fortunately we still got lower than the TMV.

Thanks TDF you're a deal breaker. This closes my thread unless someone has a different opinion. I'm now satisfied:)
