On mine u don' need all of those removal tools, just pull from the bottom w/ 4 finger tips, an it pops rite off. I guess, it loosened up cause i opened it a few times?

Yup. Once it's been off the one special clip on the right side breaks, but that's okay, it still stays in place just fine without it.
Just be careful you don't snag the bottom faceplate of the radio (where the lower knobs poke thru).
Tech here did on a GT and found out the hard way how expensive that little peice of Piano Black trim is.
