CX-5 drivers door excessive wind noise

Yeah, that's kind of what I figured. In my case a slight vibration in the mirror doesn't interfere with my ability to evaluate traffic behind me, and as you say, if I hadn't read about it I probably would never have noticed it. I'm assuming that some people (maybe pre-14?) had something a bit more violent going on.
Not necessarily, mine was produced in Sept. of '12 and I've had none of the problems such as the mirror vibration, cowl squeaks, hood flex, or transmission valve failure reported elsewhere on this forum These problems seem to be rather random and equally distributed among the 3 model years, or so it seems from reading this forum for the past 2 years!

Yeah, the trouble with internet forums is that there's no way to control for preference. One man's intolerably rough idle is another's normal operation; what's a horrible mirror shaking to you might be so mild as to be ignorable to me. Then, you get the follow-on paranoid effect-- once you've been told something is a problem, you're much more likely to perceive it as such, even if it didn't bother you before.

I'm not saying that some people haven't had real issues, just that a few issues here and there can easily become an epidemic given the nature of internet psychology.
