2013~2016: CX-5 Dash front left tweeter issue

I have just picked up a 2016 CX5 GT with the Bose system, the front left speaker on the dash has an issue where sometimes it works and sometimes it stops, it seems to be a connection problem because If I apply a slight pressure on the grill cover it work until I release the pressure. This is my first car, would it be easy for me to access the speaker and try to check the connector? Thank you!

The MCX5.org website might help.

There's a page for each of the basic speakers in the car, including a section for the tweeter.

Doesn't describe exactly how to pull off the speaker's grille, but it should be straightforward if you gently pry it. From there, it's a couple of screws holding the speaker in place.

The wiring, of course, is going to go down into the dash. If it's down in the wiring somewhere, it might be more involved. But if it's at the connector or the speaker itself, it should be relatively easy to check.

My 2015 CX-5 had an intermittent problem with the left tweeter cutting out. The dealer couldn't reproduce the problem, so he said it was an entertainment unit. I paid $2xx for a rebuilt unit, but it didn't fix the problem. I noticed that when I hit the dash when the problem presented itself, it would fix itself. The next time it happened, I tapped lighter to figure out where it was coming from. Jumping to the end, I swapped the two tweeters and also squeezed the connector a little for a tighter grip. I haven't heard it since.
