CX-5 Chrome Door Handles

Bought these from eBay:

When I tried them for size the long handles do not seem to align correctly.. If I press one end in the other end sticks out 1 mm. I could probably force stick it but I am not sure the 3M tape will stick...

They will otherwise look just fine on my grey metallic paint.

Any suggestions ?

Not sure, what you mean by stick out. Is it longer than the handle? or is it like one end pushed down and the other end goes up (like a teeter-totter). Otherwise, you could try wearing it down on the inside with a dremel but.. not much to work with. I saw a review of this on Ali Express and the guy was happy so maybe you just got a bad set? Oh, just for future reference for items like that, check out this website www.aliepxress.com reliable, payment doesn't clear until you get your items, lots of competition among sellers so low pricing, and feedback usually.

Try sticking it in an oven at 190-200 degF for 5-10 minutes to soften it, then curve it gently by hand to make it fit. (This presumes you have the 'teeter-totter' problem, per Chris ^^)

Baron's suggestion will probably fix it. you would probably need to buy some separate adhesive though, spray adhesive you can get at auto zone works well
