CX-5 Audio Head Unit Software Upgrade

I have a 2014 Mazda CX-5 and I am noticing some issues with the Audio Head Unit. Sometimes the unit freezes up, or the bluetooth does not connect to my iPhone and when I start the car, it always starts playing the first song on my iphone instead of starting off where it left off last time.

Doing some research online, I found that there is a software update available for the head units, but I cannot find the actually files to do the upgrade myself. I have also found a Technical Service Bulletin for Mazda North America talking about these actually issues and to bring it into a dealer to have the head unit's firmware upgrade and possible have the Bluetooth receiver changed as well. ( I have attached the TSB)

Anyone actually done the firmware upgrade themselves?

It's not just a firmware update it's a physical module replacement.

Make sure version shows 07.00.000 after getting BT Module swapped

How do I check what version I have right now? I made an appointment at my local dealership for this Saturday and I want to make sure I have all the info

I have the head unit without NAV in a 2014 Mazda CX-5

Thanks Kedis82ZE8 for the reply. I checked the hardware version of the Bluetooth module and I am running the older module with the hardware version of 06.03.000

Does anyone know how to check the Firmware version of the actual head unit itself? I know there is a firmware update for the Navigation head unit and I found instructions on how to check the firmware version level of that head unit, but I am looking for instructions on how to check the firmware version of the NON-NAV head units in a 2014 CX-5

Please help!
