Dunno if there was a thread like this or not so I made one.

Just wanted to post some pics and stats of my new pc I built. And possibly some of future projects...

This is my latest, total came to around $400-550(shocked) all parts came from TigerDirect.com they ROCK!(boobs) (humpleg)

Case: Ultra Grid
Power Supply: Ultra 500w modular w/ UV reactive wires, clear case 2 80mm led fans
Motherboard: Biostar micro ATX socket 775, AGP P4m800 pro M7
CPU: Intel Pentium D (dual core) 915 2.8ghz DT 800FSB
CPU cooler: Thermalake Golden orb 2
Sound: onboard
Graphics: crap 256 pny, soon to be 512 ATI-Radeon x1650 pro ddr
Memory: Kingston 1 gig 1.8v DDr2
Hard drive: WD 80g serial
Bay devices: Lite-on dvd/cd burner 32x, Cooler Master hard drive cooler
Other: 2 4inch cold cathode blue tubes, 5feet blue glow wire, pci led fans blue

Ill try to get some pics up of my current project, i'm putting a 3.2ghz 775 chip in a microfly atx case with some goodies of its own. hard working on these shoe box pcs though...

Nice lookin rig there! But that's a pretty small hard drive for a powerful rig like that, ain't it?

I've been trying to find ways to make a cool but quiet rig for not too much money. Right now I'm running 4 case fans in mine + 2 in the PSU all at low speeds to try to keep the noise down. But I need the airflow because my CPU's overclocked from 2.6 to 3.2, and vid card from 400 to 500.

the 2 120s in my case are loud as hell, but they cool it like a champ. if you can see the interior temp gauge inside the case there thats the idle temp in Celcius, and thats running a dual core.
 
Heh...I had the same mouse pad. Then one day it just stopped working. Yes, we've had threads on PC builds before.

LOL I'm guessing it still worked as a mouse pad, though.
 
Hehe...Guess I should have mentioned the "LEDS" stopped lighting up. It has a hard plastic surface, so it was no different than my desk.
 
i just installed my new ati 1650 512ddr2 this thing is awesome!

btw doodsmack, how well does your rig run BF2??i was thinking of upgrading to 2gs of ram
 
runs BF2 very smooth....although since upgrading to vista i have noticed a little bit of slowdown here and there. i am one of the ones that can devastate with the choppers' laser-guided missiles, cause my computer can actually keep up with the missile :).

I just got back into PC gamin. Mostly WOW Mmmmm crack

This will be my future system. Cost ~$1300 on newegg. I will be reusing many parts from my current system and things lying around.

Power Supply: same Antec SmartPower 500W (might need to upgrade for SLI)
Motherboard: ASUS P5N-E nForce650i SLI
CPU: INTeL Core2Duo E6600 2.4gh, 4mb L2 cache
Sound: same soundblaster x-fi

Graphics: 2 x BFG Nvidia 8800GTS 320MB OC SLI (still undecided)
Memory: Corsair 2GB DDR2-800
Hard drive: 2 x Hitachi 320gb SATA 3gb/s RAID 0
Bay devices: same ole drives, might buy a dvd burner
Other:ummm i dunno WOW, Halflife2 upcoming episodes, Most likely Crysis *drool*


hahahah i even went and applied lastnight at the local CVS that my roomate works at for a night job so i can buy this sooner!

Man I love BF2 and flying the whirly birds.
 
Riiight. For all the components I have right now WITHOUT the monitor, I'm looking at a $1200 build. A 30" will put me at $239843284.
