Custom Miata?

I just bought a 91' Miata, I wanna get some nice parts for it, but I don't know what to get, or what brand to buy. I also wanna get a sweet look for my car. But What brand of tail lights and things along that line are the best? What kind of custom gauges can you install in a 91'? (dunno)

lets see, some good sites to go for some miata parts would be
http://www.racingbeat.com/FRmiata.htm = good quality parts
http://www.miatamania.com/ = moss motors which has quality stuff too
http://www.gomiata.com/ = has some stuff that other two dont

between those 3 sites you can find pretty much everything, performance, body styling, interior etc.
personally i have racing beat dual exhaust and would recommend it, also got a body kit that you can find at erebunicorp.com (if you want ppl asking you what your car is). not finished yet by all means with mine but can give you a look at a few things you can get from those sites.

These are larger, some are 1000x2000 pixels I think.

I'd go for the more subtle look of the Racing Beat bumper..

Taillights: ebay
Gauges: cheap ebay or a number of vendors from Miata.net

yea looks like cf hardtop, dang i saw someplace selling those but i forgot where (scratches head) ill prob go for one someday, would match well with cf hood, cf side mirrors and cf rear spoiler which is what im going for.

Jesus, as if a Miata hard top wasn't expensive already, hehe.

Normal hardtops dont weigh much in the first place, CF seems like a waste. I put mine on all the time by myself, might have weighed 40 lbs and most of that was glass which a CF HT would still most likely have. I took out the soft top to save weight... might be an option for you if you worry about your weight LOL.

You could save some money and just go on a diet.

Go to miata.net and look in the vendors section... best list of places on the net

Like your headlight conversion. Where did you get it?

Most likely the Mid Tenn set up, heard they arnt in business anymore, a buddy of mine had it. It put out a crappy light pattern, you will sacrifice quite a bit for that kit. If you want to ditch the barn door headlights get the Moss Lo Pro head light kit and it will actually improve your lighting and it looks cool too.

Hehe. Did that on the turbo racer. The soft top carries quite a bit of weight.

Decided to go with the one from Moss anyways,(liked the design, as well as the visibility wiht less hassel).(thumb) Just was curious who made that type of conversion. I've seen similar ones on Probes and 5th. gen. Celicas.

Mid Tenn made a crappy set as seen in the pics of the silverstone M1 in this thread. Hiyabashi (sp?) made one too in Japan that was really sweet but it was like $1000 and its been a long time since those were available.

Moss perfected the mini pop ups that you have, Brainstorm created it but was supposedly less then well made.

If you decide to keep your 7 inch barn doors get cibie e-codes or IPF E-codes. Great lights that make a dramatic difference compared to the crappy DOT complaint crap we have here in the states.
