Custom Hood Questions

Does anyone Know if you buy a hood for a different car, could you fabricate or customize it so it fits your type of ride? Every Car on here has the same evo style hood or oem carbon fiber, I want to do something different. Where could i go to get a hood that would fit my 03' MP5? Any information would be helpfull!!(uhm)

Thanks for the reply but thats not really what im looking for, not that type of hood, those dont appeal to me, Im looking for something similar to this

well you could buy a oem replacement cf hood and get a cf hood scoop and do some cutting to make your own style of hood
i know your new here and im not downing you but there is a couple of things you need to know about Mazdas
see the thing about owning and customizing a Mazda is this no one really sells anything for our cars and the things that are for sell now are things Mazda owners have worked out and tried for themselves
and remember this anything is possible with a little forethought and creativity
and owning a Mazda isn't like owning a Honda or Nissan or a Toyota these are all popular cars and big business know the more cars the tuners like that's the ones that they spend the money in r&d because that's the ones they can make the most money off of
but owning a Mazda shows that you don't want just another cookie cutter car you want something special something that people step back and say i never thought that a car could look that good and that's one of a kind
so i guess my suggestion is if you cant find the part you want than build the part you want

hit the nail on the head there demon... I too hookedupmp3 am looking for a new hood however I like the carbonfiber style hood that demon put up at first so I will be looking at that stuff like that. if anyone has any other cf hood option please post

you could always go to c/f manufacturer and get them to make you one, but that would be $$$. It would be unique though.

Yea the one thing that irks me is that although we have different cars then say the average tuner/enthusiast wrx, civic owner (there's like a bajillion of them)... We are pretty limited on differentiating ourselves within our own community. Like say you want a body kit for your protege its pretty much wingswest/buddyclub or a lip autoexe/DG/mazdaspeed. There are just not very many options to choose from, as this guy is reinforcing with his quest for a different hood. Btw good luck and post up pics if you end up getting one made. (thumb)
