I was just wondering if anybody knows if a L 36 H 6 W 2.5 aftermarket intercooler would fit??? I am looking to custom fab an intercooler since I dont have 1G to drop on one at this point and im just trying to see if it would be worth the effort to try and custom fab one myself. I found a brand new intercooler this size for like $100 so if I could custom fab some pipes it would be alot cheaper than buying one from lets say ION for over $1,000. any help info is greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!

Oh i just found a FMIC that is a SPearco and runs 29" X 6" X 3" that would probably fit alot better. anybody know the exact sizes of IONs FMIC or any other competators???????

MY FMIC is custom also. I might be selling it to someone on the forum already though. He's going to let me know soon. I"m only selling to someone local in Las Vegas or near thats willing to drive. It took my friend and I quite some time to get it all done. Then another 7 hours to install. I don't have any pics of it at this time.

The operating isn't that hard. You just need to gather all the parts needed. Mandrel bent pipes, BOV, hoses, connectors, and clamps, intercooler core/end tanks, and lots of testing.

My friend and I bought the mandrel bent pipes from this one muffler shop. We ordered the greddy type S bov online, bought the xs engineering intercooler core and end tanks from mp motorsports here, all the hoses, connectors, and clamps were bought from a shop called silver state here. Them hoses add up in price. One is like 40 bucks. I bought the most expensive ones (turbonetics) though so you could get some cheaper ones but quality not so good.

so whats the estimate price to do a project like this yourself?? also what size intercooler would be best suited for our MSP?

It all depends. If you get the intercooler for a good price then it shouldn't be too much. I can't give you a exact price on how much because it all depends on the quality, brand, etc. If you go on ebay and buy a no name intercooler and get cheap silicone hoses, cheap piping, used BOV, then it wont cost too much since you're doing it yourself. Now if you use top quality brand name parts like Greddy, XS ENGINEERING, BLITZ, TURBONETICS, SPEARCO, HKS, ETC, then it may run you about a $1,000.
