It sure look sweet, but it cost around $900US, a little too rich for my taste.

I've seen companies like this! From what I've heard the workmanship is actually better than expected. They make the buttons virtually identical to what you've got OEM and this really helps keep the stock look and feel. My buddy got one for his GLI and the buttons were rubberized and perfectly weighted to match his old GLI buttons. Now this wasn't the exact same company so I can't make any guarantees here.

My guess is that this unit can be used for DVD's while driving, back-up cameras can be wired in easily, and you can load the GPS-NAV software you want (i.e. Garmin, TomTom, Navigon, etc.)

out of curiousity does this work with the factory bluetooth and controls.. i see controls but what about the BT.. if so im sold this weekend.. fux rims i want this!!!

also.. what dvd software is used?? ie.. what company makes the navigation CD.. reason being.. well cheaper upgrades every 2 years

It looks like bluetooth is built in to the unit.
No clue about the GPS software.

Via toyotanation there are quite a few companies selling these units from
china. And they all are basically the same CHEAP. What that means is US radio stations do not work half of the time or hardly pick up. Unit overheats easily. Navigation discs are practically useless and off by a half mile or more.

You get what u pay for with these. I'd suggest a avic or eclipse unit now that I read more about these

I agree with you. You get what thing with what you pay. But the branded radio costs too much. I will just buy things within my budget:)

You have a point.

This is available from Crutchfield for the same price as above.

And you get the install kit with it too.

This one looks perfect! And the most important is that it's Pioneer one. But does it really costs only $900? And do you have a link for the specifications and price list? Then we can compare it with the one from http://www.autodvdgps.com/newest-car-dvd-player-for-mazda-5-w-builtin-gps-receiver-rds-ipod-steering-control-virtual-6-discs-cdc-p-514.html

There is a full screen Clarion model for $800 but i don't know if it will be much of a SQ upgrade from stock since that too is a clarion unit.

thanks for your listing. But I couldn't open the link,Damn!
So all I could do was just checked the one from http://www.autodvdgps.com/newest-car-dvd-player-for-mazda-5-w-builtin-gps-receiver-rds-ipod-steering-control-virtual-6-discs-cdc-p-514.html again.
And guess what New World I got from there? Steering Wheel Control!
Those guys are doing retails online with such price. Some features are highlighted there, including steering wheel control! So I guess I can get this function with the item without issue, as they have policy says that function listed not work, the item could be returned and money refund. This is good guarantee! I see that other sites has it listed as well, but who ever knows that it could be working!!!
What's more, I really like the OEM designed looking! Paste it again!
