Sweetest Car Ever
Ok so it took a lot of work to get the texture off of the top of the door pannels, but i got it done. The color is PPG paint and its the color code of my car. At night if you take a flash light to it you can see all the purple in it, just like my car. Anyways enjoy.
P.S. I plan on getting my seats reupholstered, i was gonna go with the katzkins but couldnt bring myself to spend $650 on seats, Especially when i need a new windshield.

That looks really good. How much did it cost you to do the whole thing?

Umm $60 for everything painted. My girls dad works at a body shop and has everything out in the garage to do the stuff. He had me pay for the paint and do all the prep work and then he sprayed them. Not a bad deal at all. (cabpatch)

did you use the dolphin glaze and bondo? How did you achieve the finished look of it being a body panel. I have my HU installed where your nav. monitor is in a similar fashion. Just wondering if their are other methods to achieving similar looks
Thanks
Anthony

I dont know what dolphin glaze is but we did have to use a little bondo in some spots. For the most part to get rid of the texture we used some sort of primer called 2 K. Its a thick primer and then i sanded it down and that left the low spots and then we primed it again and sanded, then that took care of most of the texture.

Nice work! Reminds me of the New Beetle...they have the top part of the door panel painted body-color. It's a nice way to bring the outside color inside.

lol my girl has those in her 6 i get the all bundled up when i drive but they are nice cause you can pull them out and just spray them and let them dry and put them right back in.
