Custom CAI

Hey I just customized my stock air box/feeder assembly into a CAI. That should hold me until i get the injen but it was quick and easy and free. To do it i drilled a 2+ i.n hole in the plastic floor under the air box....the box has this weird collector that runs down by the tranny. I cut the bottom off the long collector which is now right above the hole in the floor. On top of that i drilled .5 in holes in to the abs intake right in front under the hood. Definately could feel a difference..took 20min.
:D

why not just pull the plastic section laying over the radiator and now you have air coming up into the filter? beats drilling holes...

I dont want hot air from engine compartment and i would have to cover up the bend in the air intake...anyway now i have two sources...one is kinda a cold ram air with the holes and the original intake and the other is a cai off the ground...i would take pics if you people want to see

oh and by the way the holes are drilled in the part that covers the radiator and face the same way as the intake...actually there are seven and they are right next to it going into the collector over the radiator. It looks interesting...better fuel is a must though
