Hey guys! Has anybody tried to color match the black plastic "molding" (I don't know what its called, sorry) The one that is all around the bottom of the car. Thanks!

Can you be more specific? If you have damage to one, here is the problem: you can fix it like a bumper, but any sanding will render it smooth, which will not match the textured pattern of the plastic. This is a relatively new technology to be able to repair textured parts. 3m makes shaker cans which claim to be able to match many textured patterns. Regarding the color, if it is scraped, the whole thing is black so that does not even make sense because its not like metal where metal gets scraped and now you need color, but on a black cladding/trim, if it is scraped there is no color loss. Confused by your question.

I pretty sure he is referring to matching it to the color of the paint. Yes it's possible. I know people that have done it to Chevy Avalanches. Most of the texture can be smoothed with a heavy primer and light sanding during prep. Any decent body shop can do this.

I personally think it would look way better. I just need to convince my wife otherwise. :)

hehe! I saw one online but its not the best custom paint you can think of but they did color match it and its not bad and added some bumper lip and sideskirts I think.
