Cruise control

My cruise control has stopped working. It has been working fine until today, I drove to meet up with someone and I tried to use my cruise control and it would not work. The light comes on and the main button is in fact clicked in. Any idea of what it could be?

Wow have you even looked under the hood?
You'll see something disconnected that goes from the cruise control to the intake manifold.

I'm so oblivious. Thank you for that. I was looking under the hood,but I was looking for the wrong thing. I think I fixed it.
