Cruise Control?

Hello all, I test drove a msprotege today, and I really enjoyed it. I got home, and after further research found out, that cruise control didn't come on them. I know it's no big deal, but I live in Jacksonville Florida, and sometimes we drive home to Baltimore. See my issue here? Is there any type of "aftermarket" modification that can be done? I'm familiar with forums, and tried to search this topic, but I couldn't find a thing. So sorry if this is a common topic.

There is an aftermarket one that can be put on. Talk to your local dealership about putting one on if you really want one, but from experience, mine has one on b/c the previous owner had one put on. It's vaccum based and since the car is turbo, the cruise control likes to be quite jerky. I don't know if there are other applications of the cruise control out there, but I despise mine. I drive 80 miles roundtrip to work everyday and I haven't used mine but once since the day I got it.

check ur local car stereo stores ...a few i worked for installed aftermarket cruises for the dealerships and to regular customers...if u can't find someone local i can price u one but u'll have to install ur self or have someone to do it...just remember to get the clutch switch (it's a switch that attaches to ur clutch pedal to sense when taken out of gear...LMK yeah i had a P5 that had CC and my MSP doesn't have it but i would like to get and aftermarket CC but figure out how to ultilize the factory CC from a P5 or like....

Also..Since this is a turbo car...You would be much better suited with an Aftermarket "Electric" based cruise control Vs. the standard Vacuum Based.
Cant have vacuum when your in boost and that can wreak havoc on this type of CC system.
This is more than likely the reason they didnt come with them...It would have been a CC system that would only work on the speeds..too much money to invest for a limited run of >10K cars.

Awesome, now we're on to something. Like I said, I live in Jacksonville, so there are PLENTY of shops around. I'll let ya know. I'm heading back to the dealership today to see what they can give me for my truck.

Well, I bought it. Pretty psyched. Not very psyched about what they wanted to give me for my truck. So I have to sell it myself.
