Ok here is my problem. I was running a type-rs and all i was getting was the turkey so a few people told me tha the rs has a stiff spring and wouldnt blow off with stock boost. So i decide to go with a type-s with a softer spring and alot of msp have had success witht this bov. So i go on ebay and bid my ass of and get one. I put it on my car and still, all i have us turkey. I am guessing that the setup i am running is just awful because i am having no success. I suppose it is because the bov is so far away from pipe by the time the air gets there it isnt strong enough and it doesnt blow off properly. I think the diagnosis would be to just find some hardpipes and get a flange welded on and do it right because it is really starting to piss me off. What do you guys think. Below is my setup, appreciate the feedback.

so your running a greddy type s on stock plastic pipes? wtf man?

anyways..........are you having problems idling? my greddy type s was all turkey when i first installed it with my fmic but after i relocated my maf its all good. my bov is loud as s*** now.

that was my suggestion, relocate the maf......... vent to the atmosphere........

He is using the apexr1 bov kit which uses the plastic oem pipes but fitted withan adapter.

My suggestion to you is to sell the type s bov and keep the rs (since the type s is higher demend these days). Also get rid of that adapter and revert back to stock until you're got hardpipes. With the current setup you have your msp is probably not running smoothly at all.

I would see why u would think it wouldnt run smoothly but it actually does. I thought i was going to get alot of stalling issues with this set up but i didint. i just get alot of turkey and it is really pissing me off. I am in the process of trying to get some hardpipes...in the mean time anyone want to show me a pic of their relocated maf with the hardpipes so i have an idea what it looks like.

it on with my MAM street sleeper kit. it's nothing spectacular. just cut the pipe and move the maf.

All you need is hardpipes, and put your BOV on the intercooler pipe that goes to the engine. Not the intercooler pipe that goes to the turbo.

There is NO reason to move your MAF sensor to hear the type S. The type-S should blow-off like crazy.

I had/have the hiboost intercooler kit with the type S, and it was a blow-off that was loud as hell. In neutral or in gear it would blow-off at all times, no turkey. The only time I got turkey was when you don't give it some gas before you shift, basically not even trying to boost between shifts, just shifting like a non-turbo car.
