so i finally got the correct things to pressure checy my engine. I found a few leaks that id never have guessd were leaking and i noticed one thing that seamed weird to me. The crank case vent has air comming out of it, like a lot of air. Is that actually correct or is something wrong with the car. I mean it wasnt like a small amount of air, it was sepleting the tank on my air compressor in like 15 seconds. I jus twant to make sure that I dont have a bigger problem somewhere. Thnaks

ok, just checking, bbecause it didnt seem to make sence to me that the vent line for the crakcase, the one that runs back to the intake, would be pressurized

i dont know much about pressure testing an engine, but i can shed some light on how the PCV works...
under vacuum your PCV is open, so air routes from the intake side through the PCV and back into the intake charge.
under boost the PCV closes and the turbo pulls a vacuum through the crank vent connecting to the intake. the reason for venting the crankcase is to clear oil/gas fumes so they dont make deposits.

So what where some of the odd ball air leak spots that we may not guess.

the t clamps on the maf, it suprised me cuz those are the only 2 tbolt clamps i have on the car and they leaked and ive herd everone talk about them like they are gods gift to clamps just seems odd to me

you talking about a leakdown test? or you just pressure checked your charge pipes?

if it's a leakdown test, then air going through your PCV is air getting past the rings into the crankcase.

i dont really kno what a leakdown test is, i just hooked up a small air compressor to check the intake for leaks
