Crafted Cat replacement pipe

Hey all,

Well I got my bosal catback installed today and I love it. It sounds a lot deeper, but not louder. Which is great!!! But I didn't notice much performance upgrade.

I didn't get the bosal federation (the one with the "test pipe" that replaces the 2nd cat) because I ordered it through Auto R&D and wasn't given the choice.

I would, however, like to replace that puppy with either that test pipe provided by bosal (probably $$$$) or by a hand crafted one that someone out there might make.

Does anyone know where I might be able to pick somehting up like this?

I would imagine that the test pipes aren't that hard to make, it is just a straight pipe in place of the cat, I bet a good local muffler shop could take care of it for a reasonable price.

wouldn't replacing the cat screw up the ECU a little. By the way its ilegal for a shop to replace the cat with a pipe, at least it is in NH.

To my knowledge as long as you have both o2 sensors intact you should be fine. Just that the 2nd o2 will detect no cat and throe a cell. But with these damn obd2 ecu's nowadays you never know:mad:

And yes it is illegal for a muffler shop to remove cats unless the car is for offroad use only like mine (laugh)

Well, in your case I meant have a muffler shop give you the pipe and do it yourself, but actually down here I know a shop or two that would do it anyway
