I just purchased a 04 mazda 3 hatch and it has a crack in the dash. The crack about 4 inches long is in the center up near the window in front of the vent. Is there a repair kit I can buy or do I have to replace the dash?

take it to the dealer and have them replace it under warrenty, it shouldnt have cracked after only a few years

Thanks guys, I'll be making the trip next week.
)This is actually something that's come up quite a bit. The crack is in the center of the dash right up against the windshield, in front of the little round nub. People that have had it said it looked like when you fold plastic back and forth and give it that white "stressed" line.
Anyway Mazda's already replaced several dashes under warranty for that, so good luck to you.

It is white/stressed line from the dome to the front of the windshield, and has a crack from the dome towards the rear of the car.

I was thinking about taking it to the dealer where the car was originally purchased and seeing if they would fix it under the warranty. I have a question though. I bought my 3 used, so the car's warranty is under another person's name, will that matter? Or will they still hold to the warranty regardless?
