Antoine....good for taking control of Laloosh and banning him. He has been banned on other forums as well. He continually has been postal against CP-E on every post he has made and we are ALL sick of it. Thank You. As a member who has the CP-E downpipe with high flow cat and CBE, and CP-E CAI, i think there products are super.A little expensive, but for a custom made 100% built in the USA product, i like to support the little companies that are making there products mainly for our Mazda's. and are on these forums to discuss any issues you may have. Never any issues with my mods so far. I have had e-mail and phone chats with Jordan on there produsts and only have had positive vibes each time. I am staying the route and buying the Standback PnP when it is released, since they will have the "correct" maps for my mods. As stated earlier in the original post the only time there will be a issue running the Standback is if your cars mods are not exactly set for the map. In this case you will need to go to a tune shop and tune it and create your own map. CP-E FTW!!!!

With all of the time that Jordan and the crew spends responding to customers, it's a wonder they get anything done! Again, great service from these guys. Will buy more!

yes, i am new here as well, although i did sign up over a year ago if you checked when i bought my 07 Speed3 back in Nov 06. So new here, yes but quite a bit more time in the Speed3 than some...15months. I no many cats roam the different forums on the net, but for me i have been on just 1 to date and just became interested in this one again since i just bought my Defi boost gauge from one of the cool members here today and saw the post on CP-E.and got aggravated all over again. On the other Mazda forum i frquently post on, Laloosh has been a questionabale dude,,,,need i say more.
On the Standback CP-E is starting a map library that they will give you 2 of them when you buy your standback. True, unless the mods are exactly like the ones you have on your car than the tune will bea wee bit off. Also with the current maps that they will offer it is probably best to also have a tuning shop check them over fo the best possible tune. I am not too knowledable on tunes so i am relying on going with CP-E because of many reasons but the basic maps that they will have first will certainly be the ones with there products.Same deal with the AP from Cobb in relation to your mods. They have a test mule Speed3 (there's) that they use for fabrication Rand D etc, and do tunes on this car at there local dyno shop with existing CP-E mods . They will also have base maps for other mod combinations from other manufacturers as well down the road. But basically i am not looking for the fastest Speed3, but one quick and "safe" and the tune from CP-E will be the starting point. And with there tune it will be safer than running the car the way it is now. The Standback will take care of any boost spikes, if you have them......thats why i just bought a gauge to monitor this, Is CP-E the best...for me yes, but there are many good companies out there but not too many local and small, with the goods made in OUR country. Sudden praise....i think not.

i find no matter what company, there will always be problems... i've had my issues, no-one's perfect and especially in the car tuning business there is no such thing, with them but jordan had gone completely out of his way to make things better and becuase of this i will still buy from cp-e.. i plan on buying the fmic when it comes out

i just think cp-e is under attack becuase they are the main company for the speed 3(from my knowledge could be wrong)... its human nature not to like the big guys

CP-E offers quite a few products for the Spped3 and more are on the way. All extremely high quality and backed up 100% not to throw a CEL as well as a warranty on there products for the life of the car to the original owner.A few that i recall are the downpipe with or without a cat(Random Technology High Flow Cat)CBE,CAI,,BOV,soon to be released FMIC and PnP Standback and also soon, high flow fuel pump. Motor/Trans mounts, water/meyth system. Turbo upgrade will follow later, they are in R/D with Hitachi Warner and Turbonetics. Also with the PnP Standback it will give a little better tune than the stock ECU. It does quite a few things, more than i personally need, but the biggies for me are leaning the car out a little bit so it does not run so rich as well as keeping tabs on any boost spikes from he TBE and CAI i have on my car. I have chatted with quite a few folks that have TBE and most do not have boost spikes, but some do(not just from CP-E products but all TBEs)also the turbo spools faster, less lag and oh yes 40 extra HP from the CAI and TBE.....as well as the awesome growl of the CP-E TBE, my oh my.On the tuning issue, i have to agree with all that if you want to play you might have to pay if you are not careful with the tune. Even with the Cobb AP, there maps are going to be for certain mods and if your car is not close to that tuning stage than that tune will be off...and we no, that every change and mod we make, the car reacts, some very positive and some questionable...but the BOTTOM line is to be conservative on one map and be a little more aggressive on the other, but IMO i will not put a map or tune on the car that will put it in danger of blowing up...My car is damn fast already, i just want to tweak it a little, make it run "better". But yes if i put the wrong tune on from CP-E or Cobb or whoever than i do it at my own risk.
lastly, no i am not a CP-E anything, i just made some choices over a year ago to go with there mods TBE,CAI so far and have been very happy indeed with the results and customer service. FMIC and Standback PnP and mounts are next this summer. There FMIC is sweet. And also thanks for making a member from a sister mazda forum feel welcome over here, after all we are all just trying to make our Speed3's better, and i have noticed quite a few members over here are on the other forum as well, and thats cool. I will post a picture of my car soon over here on this site.

can enjoy PG parts till your Speed3 blows up. Talk about being bias Truboost is PG #1 ass rider, let talk about being bias. Go riding some more True you love it.

we have no problem with cp-e whatsoever and do not condone or promote vendor bashing. we do a fair bit of business with them and they know that. you want to go after individual members be my guest. but don't lump my name in the mix like this just because he happens to support me or my company.

for the record, not one speed6 or speed3 has ever blown up on or off the street from a part we've made or piece of advice we've given out. i don't give a damn who you support, but get your facts straight before leveling the accusation that we do or may not know what we are doing. we've had our fingers in these cars as long or longer than just about anyone and are very cautious and conservative when it comes to our customers' cars.

how many threads have to be closed or posts erased by the admins before this nonsense comes to an end. some people like cp-e, some people don't. some people like me, some people don't. we all get the point. if someone wants to write a post praising cp-e they should have the option of doing so without it turning to crap. i understand fanboys will be fanboys, but damn am I sick of seeing this over and over and over again.

man people just dont get it. i could get CP-E part through PG if i wanted to, for a great price i might add. the fact is i no longer have any desire to give them my $$$. for those who like them ...great, more power to ya. me on the other hand, no thanks. i'll stick to the more affordable, just as good if not better quality items out there. its like a bunch of school girls around here. lets all pull up our cute little plaid skirts and talk cars like men, can we ?
these posts are kinda fun though. i'm all hopped up on pain pills from my recent surgery and they make me laugh !

x2.

let the products, results, and personal customer support speak for itself.

i agre 100%. its just that people around here dont let me have an opinion.
if i say i like something i am a PG leg humper. if i say i dont like it, it's cuz TRZ didnt design it. that is simply not true. i tell ya what i think.....sorry if it hurts sometimes. i do give both CP-E and COBB credit for taking an interest in these cars, but i must be honest and say neither of them has impressed me. there is no single manufacturer that has actually. the one place who has is PG. those guys work hard to be the best and help bring us the best. these guys sell all the best stuff from all the MFR's. they also go out on their own to bring us custom stuff like the RP, and manifold, and other stuff that is still cooking. that is why i stick with them. i am just lucky that they are local for me !!

You are not allowed to post personal experiences on this board.(uhm) So how are we suppose to speak our minds on here?

i disagree. everyone is perfectly welcome to post thier experiences. its what happens after that, when it devolves into pissing contests or flamewars, and when people make an effort to jump into every thread remotely concerning a particular vendor and go out of thier way to bash them. it goes from becoming discussing an experience, bad or good, and becomes a personal grudge mission.

and both sides (pro CPE and anti CPE) are guilty of it if we're being completely fair.

I've had to clean this thread up several times and that is unacceptable.
