CP-E offers quite a few products for the Spped3 and more are on the way. All extremely high quality and backed up 100% not to throw a CEL as well as a warranty on there products for the life of the car to the original owner.A few that i recall are the downpipe with or without a cat(Random Technology High Flow Cat)CBE,CAI,,BOV,soon to be released FMIC and PnP Standback and also soon, high flow fuel pump. Motor/Trans mounts, water/meyth system. Turbo upgrade will follow later, they are in R/D with Hitachi Warner and Turbonetics. Also with the PnP Standback it will give a little better tune than the stock ECU. It does quite a few things, more than i personally need, but the biggies for me are leaning the car out a little bit so it does not run so rich as well as keeping tabs on any boost spikes from he TBE and CAI i have on my car. I have chatted with quite a few folks that have TBE and most do not have boost spikes, but some do(not just from CP-E products but all TBEs)also the turbo spools faster, less lag and oh yes 40 extra HP from the CAI and TBE.....as well as the awesome growl of the CP-E TBE, my oh my.On the tuning issue, i have to agree with all that if you want to play you might have to pay if you are not careful with the tune. Even with the Cobb AP, there maps are going to be for certain mods and if your car is not close to that tuning stage than that tune will be off...and we no, that every change and mod we make, the car reacts, some very positive and some questionable...but the BOTTOM line is to be conservative on one map and be a little more aggressive on the other, but IMO i will not put a map or tune on the car that will put it in danger of blowing up...My car is damn fast already, i just want to tweak it a little, make it run "better". But yes if i put the wrong tune on from CP-E or Cobb or whoever than i do it at my own risk.
lastly, no i am not a CP-E anything, i just made some choices over a year ago to go with there mods TBE,CAI so far and have been very happy indeed with the results and customer service. FMIC and Standback PnP and mounts are next this summer. There FMIC is sweet. And also thanks for making a member from a sister mazda forum feel welcome over here, after all we are all just trying to make our Speed3's better, and i have noticed quite a few members over here are on the other forum as well, and thats cool. I will post a picture of my car soon over here on this site.
