cp-e takes FullControl of the MazdaSPEED6
So Thursday, 7/26/08 night Lou flashed my ecu. It was his first attempt and it was based on his understanding of the MS3 ecu. We pulled mine and he read it, disassembled it in his software and found the throttle plate tables that he modified for the MS3. Took about 30 minutes. Here's the result:
This is the log I took on the way over so stock TP.
We thought the DH was reading funny so I logged it again the next day with the standback.
Sure enough, the throttle is better but it's still closing at 5500. I spent some time looking at it and realized that it closed very similarly to the stock TP control after 5500. That lead us to think we hadn't quite covered the appropriate portions of the TP table. Here's an excel comparison of the two DH logs
We edited the table and flashed again. Here's the result:
Better but still closing after 6000 rpm.
One more edit and here you go:
As you can see, cp-e has completely eliminated the throttle limitation. Additionally, the tables edited for the throttle plate control are untouched in both COBB's and Piasini's flashes... That's an absolute fact.
SOTP, which means nothing btw, is significantly improved. Extreme is closed this weekend for racing so no dynos yet. I can't wait. It's a significant improvement.
