So I'm installing my down pipe and it was being a b**** to say the least, but I got the nuts off the turbo studs off and now I'm pulling it out but it doesn't wanna seem to go. Any one got any ideas? I know it says it gotta come out a certain way but I can't even arrange the cat, I think it's stuck on the turbo studs.

Alright not rally helping there. I have PB blaster and I have the nuts off the turbo studs. Now it is simply pulling the pipe out of the compartment.

out through the bottom did you pull off the brachet that holds it to the car? if so i imagin you did teist it and bang it around a little. hay if you run into any problems pm me im at work tonight and ill have this open.

I took the 2 blue bolts off that hold the cat to the car. So if I read your post correctly I need to take that bracket off that held those 2 bolts off. If that is my problem I feel dumb, it way too late and cold to check now so I'll check in the morning.

yeah if yo can take the bracket off it will help i think i took mine off with it still attached to the cat but disconnected from the car. the instructions i got for disasembly also told me to take off the heat chield around the cat as well.

When I install my CP-E DP, I had to remove that bracket. Its not going to come out with it on!!! Also, make sure the car is lifted enough for the removal of the stocker... You will need to clock it just right to take it out...you'll damage your aluminized paneling underneath, have some high-temp aluminized tape handy after taking out the stocker.

That should be it. Let us know if you have any more issues!!

Good luck!! (2thumbs)

Well I got the stock piece off. It was that bracket...I took the bolts off holding it to the cat but didn't take the colts off holding the bracket to the car....after that it was easy to get out. Now I'm having a hard time putting the CP-E piece over the turbo studs....but I think it's because it's only me trying to move that giant piece. I got a friend coming over and this project should be done soon.

Well after getting that bracket off and my buddy helping me slip the dp over the turbo studs everything went on perfectly. The turbo screams now, I loose traction in 1-2 gear even up in the higher rpm's and it growls like a beast with a backfire now and again when shifting. Sounds nice, but the drone when cruising is annoying. Overall great mod. And this was the hardest mod I've done, however very rewarding to have done it my self instead of going to a shop and having them do it, also very educational as I'm not a wrench head but hope to be able to fix or work on anything later on.

Oh, I see... I did not realize you have the full TBE... So the CP-E CBE has drone... Hmm, good find... I'll be going with Cork Sport.

Thanks!! (2thumbs)

Well I'm thinking if I added the extra resonator option this might have not occurred. But at cruising speeds on the freeway it's just dang annoying to constantly hear your exhaust. Oh well.

Also my friend now says I sound like an STi, haha.

Volume knob, problem solved, lol.

^ Hahahaha, I've had to resort to that. However on those nights you just wanna relax on the drive home...sometimes I feel like cruising with music down.

However minus the drone, I love the exhaust, when you stomp on it the tone is loud and deep. Sounds perfect at WOT and tells ppl "this ain't a regular 3...don't mess with me". And the performance gain from it is crazy! Great kit, I highly recommend this to anyone wanting a TBE.
