Thanks for the help. I'm not a Hugh fan access port . Maybe when the tuning software is released ill have a change of hart.
 
Okay, not to kick start an old poop throwing fest I had on here with Bravnik, but I have been doing ALOT of reading and have been talking to ALOT of people about this boost cut issue.

First of all, Bravnik, do not even bother replying to this post, I talked to a few people about you from the COBB and CP-E supporters and you really don't support the mazda community at all. You come on every CP-E thread and throw crap but than say you are not biased and don't post anything to back it up. This is coming from COBB guys and CP-E guys, nobody really believes you know anything about either product, and all you really say is "I think both have there ups and downs, I just choose to tune with a trusted company (COBB) which is cheaper and takes all the thinking out of tuning" but you provide no useful information except try to throw crap on CP-E and make false claims that COBB doesn't even stand by.

Anyway, now that is cleared up, about the boost cut by itself. From some very good question from other people that asked me, here are some answers. First, CP-E is proven to completely eliminate the boost cut. From COBB and CP-E, the boost cut is a crapy way of mazda trying to protect there motor, and for lightly modding to heavily modding, boost cut needs to be eliminated. Second, the AP and Standback themselves can attempt to tune out the boost cut, but both have failed, and YES, even in newest V103 maps from COBB on the other forums people are still getting boost cut. COBB has yet to prove that they can completely eliminate boost cut from happening and such have been proven now that they cannot completely eliminate with there tunes. That is the same deal with the CP-E standback.

What this leaves us with is the CP-E flash that completely eliminates the boost cut. It can now be purchased on the CP-E website or through other vendors of CP-E products. Don't take this as mudd throwing, but more as just stating the facts, COBB has yet been able to control this boost cut, people ARE still getting it as I have read through other posts. All that has been attempted by them was to tune it out, and with the complexity of the Mazda ECU, that is just impossible to do, and what needs to be done is that it needs to be removed completely.

I appoligize if it came accross that I am intentionally attacking bravnick, I was more trying to figure this guy out and why every time I would post something about CP-E that he would come on here and try to throw poop everywhere. I was the one that posted here originally.

Also, I already stated that I knew people already know about the boost cut flash, but as I was the 3rd person to get it done to my speed3 in the country, I wanted to inform the community about my experience with it and how it has helped me to continue modding and tunning this car.

I wont take what you said as personal as you don't know the history surronding this.
 
Oh wow - Really - Ah Amazing. Where to begin.

For one. I don't choose to use a Trusted (Cobb) company as you put it. Both Cobb and CPE are good companies and trusted companies. I don't bash CPE products but just stupid people like yourself who make idiotic claims and talk about s*** they have no clue about.

I choose Cobb as it meets my needs and NOTHING more. If CPE sold the AP and Cobb sold the SB I would be using the AP still. It has NOTHING to do with CPE or their products and has EVERYTHING to do with stupid people giving out false information on a product they know nothing about.

You talked to people? Are you F'ing serious? Let me guess, Laloosh, Darksun, Palerider and the such? The biggest CPE fanboi's on the forums? I don't provide anything to the community? I have done DIY's for Relocating your Oil Pressure Sender, Redline Shift Beeper install, How to make a Homemade Map Clamp. I try to answer questions and help out where I can. What I don't do is talk about s*** I don't know about.

What exactly have you done my friend to help the community? Go get a flash and tell everyone how great it is but then spew a bunch of BS that you have no clue about? Anyone in their right mind can read your posts in this thread alone and determine that you don't know jack s*** about anything you're talking about.

I had NO ISSUE with you praising the CPE Cut Fix. I DID have issues with you when you started saying that Cobb does not have a fix. There are a TON of posts out there to contradict your statements. How many others beside yourself have the CPE fix? NONE that I'm aware of. Not a single person other than yourself.

What you fail to comprehend is that there are a TON of reasons other than cold weather that cause cut. There are posts of guys who had cut like crazy that now don't have any. There are guys that have posted in THIS THREAD contradicting your statements who had cut before and now don't using the AP. There are even more posts in the OTHER forum about how they no longer have cut. One guy even tested in -7 deg weather and got ZERO cut.

Those that still had issues after the AP update have mostly been due to using the wrong map for their mods or getting cut for another reason not associated with the cold weather fix. I'm sure there will be some SB users that have the same issue but to date the only person I know that has the fix is YOU. Nobody else that I'm aware of has posted they have the CPE fix and how much they love it other than yourself.

Eliminate it or raise the threshold who really cares. As long as you no longer get cut how they do it does not matter. You say it is dangerous, prove it or shut up about it. There is no proof that it is or is not dangerous to remove it completely or simply raise the threshold. No proof at all. Show me where ANYONE has blown their motor due to cold weather cut. You can't as it has NEVER happened.

My suggestion to you at this point is to be happy about your CPE fix and simply keep your mouth shut about things you don't know about. It's really not that hard. You don't see me bashing the CPE fix at all in this post now do you? I'm bashing your statements that I believe are 100% false and nothing more.

My opinion on boost cut is that the ambient temp is a hugge factor.<--(figured that s*** out myself! Ehh? whaddya think?) I get cut when its under 10 degrees F and my car is fine if its above that temp. If Cobb can tune the supposedly "un-tuneable" gt-r than I have faith in their ability to tune us. But hell what do I know, im not a tuner lol.

if something has a computer it can be hacked somehow. eventually if enough ppl want something and money can be made from it, someone's gonna do it. it's just a matter of time
 
Bravnik, I spoke with a few COBB guys too, and have you ever noticed that every thread you have been a part of with CP-E has turned into a poop throwing contest? You start it, you are the one started it by saying that COBB can eliminate the boost cut, but yet, with there newest releast maps, they have not eliminated it. Do you see how you always turn this into a COBB vs. CP-E thing? My first thread was about the flash and not having boost cut anymore, you dragged COBB into this. COBB has yet to prove that it can eliminate the boost cut, if they can, than why wont they get rid of it than? Even there own words are that the Boost cut is a crappy way to protect the engine.

Look, I get who you are now, and I understand the kind of personality you have, I'm not going to bicker with you about this anymore, COBB has not shown that they can eliminate the boost cut, and CP-E has, whether you want to take that personal or not, it's up to you, but COBB's record with the full throttle, fuel pump, and tuning has put the record as CP-E = 3 WINS, COBB = 0 wins.

Take a chill pill and realize that CP-E is just the leader with the speed3 and figuring it and the complex ECU out.

COBB has done great things with the SUBie's and the EVO's, but to say that COBB has tuned the "un-tuneable" gt-r is not a true statement, I don't believe I remember what month that Sport Compact Car tested the COBB GT-R, but it was within the last couple of months, but SCC had major issues with their GT-R, many check engine lights, misfires and knock, and the power they were expecting wasn't there. I know Bravnik is going to defend COBB here again, but I swear, if he does, I'm digging out the magazine and scanning the entire article to post here. (alright)

Yes, cold weather triggers boost/fuel cut, but that is just one of many things that trigger it. You are 100% correct though.
 
On a side note, I never said I brought anything to the community other than product reviews. But I don't go to COBB forums and start crap with people, that's all you do though, is stir up crap.

Tell me what does his "other" posts or participation in other threads have anything to do with THIS one and the topic at hand?

I'm sorry that this thread got so off topic, all OP was a review of a product that I just got, I never brought COBB into this, so all this s*** about me being whiny and s*** like that? I called Bravnik out, and all he does is follow COBB in blinde faith and than tries to through crap on CP-E. I'm happy to see that there are people here that will stand by Bravnik, but you obviously don't know his history on this and other forums. I don't take him seriously anymore.

Lets talk about backing up my talk. CP-E has proven they can eliminate boost cut, COBB says they can, but obviously people are still getting boost cut. I understand people will defend COBB to death here, but my OP had nothing to do with COBB and I had nothing to say about COBB until Bravnik wanted to put false information out there about the boost/fuel cut.

Stop trying to side track what Bravnik stated by saying I need to grow up, he was wrong, and that's it. Nuff Said.

I dont find it wrong in anyway to come on your so called "CPE" thread and say that COBB has found a fix aswell- CLAIMED OR PROVEN... and what do you do? you bash him! and talk about his other posts. You b**** and wine...and start this s*** NOT HIM... if you cant handle other than CPE talk about a related subject then (fu) ... cause CPE is not the only company attempting to fix problems on the car.

I think I have made my point that the issue is not Cobb or CPE but idiots spreading false or misleading information to others.

Really that is my only purpose here. There is enough crap on these treads in all forums of people being biased and/or pushing their own products for personal gain (through selling or sponsorship). I assume Alex here is no different. I highly doubt he paid for the flash, maybe he did but I doubt it.

Anyway thanks for the support guys. I think it's 100% obvious who is the being the dick here and who has a clue and who does not.

All you guys don't realize is that this thread is not the only one that Bravnik attacks, yes, I went a little overboard and I appoligized to that already, but to say that Bravnik is completely innocent is completely wrong.

I'm asking now to prove that COBB has fixed the boost cut issue? CP-E has fixed it, COBB's claim at fixing has not been proven as people with the greatest and latest maps are still getting boost cut.

Bravnik has done this on almost EVERY CP-E post, you have to be blinde not to see that he is being an ass by bringing COBB into a post about a CP-E product, especially when COBB hasn't proven that it can eliminate the Boost Cut/fuel Cut issue.

So to help the Mazda Community, show me that COBB has actually eliminate the boost cut, because I can show you that CP-E has.

Read my OP, where did I say anything about COBB? I had no intention on speaking about COBB until Bravnik brought it up, than I just stated the facts and Bravnik wanted to cry about it and ask me to prove it. Than I proved my statements with COBB failures over the past year and than Bravnik wants to say I'm bing a dick.

Look, since I support CP-E, Bravnik will never agree with me, nore will any other person that thinks COBB is the best thing to the Mazdaspeed3 since the wheel was invented.

So you guys need to reread my OP and tell me how Bravnik bringing up COBB has ANYTHING to do with it? You all need to grow up and start answering some questions if you guys know it all. Where is the COBB cold weather cut elimination at if people are still getting cut with there newest maps??? If you can't answer that than stop replying to this, because I have been asking this for the last 3 pages.
