Covered by warranty?

Mazdaspeed Protege
I have the klunk in the rear suspension, is this always covered by warranty?

Also, has anyone ever had a problem with their Emergency Break light just staying on? Well it comes on when I apply the break and s***...

Also one more thing, is it just a common problem where the car sometimes wants to stall once adding cold air, I've had the problem since I put it on...

My parking brake light would come on when I would come to a stop and I had to add brake fluid. Ultimately, caused by the brakes going out. Check the fluid and see if that helps.

What they said.

Since there is only one BRAKE warning light, it has to serve multiple functions. It comes on if the e-brake is on, if the fluid gets low or if there is too much of a pressure differential between the front and rear. Some vehicles (expensive ones like Mercedes) actually have sensors right in the brake pads to tell when they get worn.

It definitely sounds like yours is low fluid, though. As disc brake pads wear, you get more and more fluid in the calipers and less and less in the master cylinder. If yours is low enough to set the light on, then you might be due for some new brake pads (and a fluid flush).

the rotors are one inch larger on the msp vs the stock protege5 and ES. the DX and LX have drum brakes in the rear.

So going to murrays or autozone for pads will be diffacult ( thank you)

Why would it? They have the parts. Autozone has brake pads $21 for the front and $23 for the rear.

The MSP is the only 2003 Protege with a turbo, right?

That could be. They have the pads but not the calipers.
