couple random questions

I keep reading about ms3 2008.5,,, what is up with the ".5". Isn't there basically a 2007, 2008 model and then a 2009 model?

also, I really want to go ms3 shopping when I have some $$ in the bank,,, but,, I also need that $$ for saving towards a house and whatnot. sigh sigh what to do...............?.?. :]

The 2008.5 was there for a few minor changes and I believe they weren't sure just yet if they were going to have a 2009. They did it with the MSP as well (2003.5).

One of the biggest changes is the addition of Metro grey metallic and droping the Cosmic Blue color.

MP3 CD player was another.

Piano black interior trim rather than grey.

Save towards the house. If you don't already own, buy while the market is in the toilet and get a great deal on one.

When it's time to buy the car, the best advice I ever got is "if you can't afford the payments on a three year loan, you can't afford the car. Save up more for the downpayment, or buy something else."

Yeah, its a great time to buy a house. Used MS3's will get cheaper over the next couple years but houses will probably be getting more expensive.

also mid year model changes are quite popular in the car industy.

2008.5 models had 400hp to the wheels because some factory worker took a bribe. they found out and 09 models went back to original 263 crankhp settings

Agreed get the house. You will most likely not find deals like this in your lifetime.

There will always be deals on cars. Just be sure to get a house with a nice garage so when the time comes you can park a nice MS3 in there (2thumbs)

Hey, I came up with another idea though. What do u think of a 2009 mazda 3 5-door as opposed to the mazdaspeed3? it would save a few grand $$,,,,, but, it would obviously lack the awesomeness of the speed3.

While I wont disagree I will say if everyone followed that rule there wouldnt be the number of 30+K cars you see on the road...

Yeah....if you have the money buy the MS3 right away. If your worried about money get the mazda 3. Only way to think of it. I would get the MS3 obviously, because its the most bang for the buck.
