Couple of questions for owners of the latest 6

:
Mazda6 GT, MX5 PRHT
For reference I own a 2008 MX5 and 2010 Mazda5. I'm thinking of buying a 2016 Mazda6 GT to replace the 5. I want the GT because I'm paralyzed so I must drive an automatic but I want the paddle shifters. One of my main questions is the ride comfort. This vehicle will spend most of its life on the interstate. How is the road noise and wind noise? I don't expect Lexus quiet but I don't want to be annoyed on a long trip. Also, are owners really getting 38 mpg on the highway?

The road noise isn't as bad as I heard about before I purchased mine.. I just did a two hour trip to Tampa and the car was great on the interstate.. I averaged around 32 mpg and I went 80mph the whole trip.. I have the 2015 touring I think most of the wind noise issues were with the 2014..

I have a 15 Touring.
Average mpg is 33.
I drive 40 miles 5 times a week.
Wind noise is there but nothing turning the volume up can't fix.

If it's a loaded Grand touring.. I'm talking eloop and smart braking, radar cruise etc.. That's not a bad deal.. My touring stickered for 26,000 without the tech package

It's a standard GT without the eloop tech package. It does include clear film paint protection on the front and back bumper. A little over $2k off sticker price.

I have put 5k miles on my '15 Sport in the last month. I see anywhere from 35 to 40 mpg on the highway, usually drive 70-75. We have a '12 MZ5 as well. The 6 will be much quieter then the 5, with a smoother yet more taut ride. One negative: compared to the MZ5 over the shoulder and rear visibility is terrible. Over certain surfaces the Touring and GT 19" tires are much louder than the Sport's 17s.

The Dunlop 19 will make noise over rough uneven payment.. But in Florida that's not too much of a problem unless you're in Tampa which is nightmare construction.. I'd say 29 is on par for a GT, you are getting real leather and hid headlights and rear spoiler.. I'm not sure if the sunroof is standard in the GT.. If so you are getting that as well..

Just got my '16 Mazda6 GT + techPack.
Can't tell you which dealer I got it from. 3miles on the odometer.
iGT = $28,336 (MSRP >$31K)
iGT + techPack = $29,965 (MSRP > $33K)
Believe it. Both are under invoice by almost $1k.
Another dealer wanted $1k more.
