Right, but if he doesn't want to go nuts, like i said, and he just wants something simple and doesn't plan on doing a lot of mods, the Unichip should be fine. Just plug it in and forget about it.Bigg Tim said:The unichip has a generic tune that will never be the optimum for ALL cars. Each car is different, therefore the tune should be different. To spend the money on a unichip, then put on a FMIC and other stuff, and then send the chip back to be tuned for the upgrades is crap. You will be spending way more than the initial cost of the MPI.
No issues, just waiting on my JoeP FCD so i can clamp the MAF voltage. The reason I'm not doing my car Nick's way is because I feel that my way is better. My car runs off of completely stock maps until boost comes on. The MAP makes my life simple. From what I've seen, a few minor issues will arise if you tune the way Nick wants you to, and I'd rather just do it my way.Are you still having your issues with the MPI?? If so, then why not take the suggestions of Nick so your car will run better and make more power.
Right, because I don't know how to tune the MPI.If you are still having issues tuning it, we can help. Learning to tune the MPi is not that difficult.
Before I ran into my current issues, my car was tuned beautifully. I've had well respected professional tuners ride in my car and they were amazed at how smooth and well tuned it was. Now i have a MAF voltage issue. It would probably be fixed if I had my FCD, but I'm playing the waiting game instead.Maybe your opinions will be different if your car was tuned to it's optimum which would make it a beast like Deans.
I can say what the **** I want, thanks. Last I checked, the right to state my opinion wasn't revoked when I became a Super Mod.Oh yeah, comenting on a vendors profit margin or other business sense is not appropriate from a "Super Mod".
