cosmic blue gone black?!

How do the front and rear Flying M's come off?

I am really thinking about doing this because my buddy sold his MS3 but still has stock rims sitting in the garage. I made him a deal that I would paint those for my car then sell mine on ebay and give him the money. He is lazy and has not listed them and they have been sitting a year so he is cool with it. This way I wont be in a rush and can take my time with out having my car on blocks. I am due for tires in about a month or two so this would be a great time to do it.

So if I find the Dupli Color wheel specific paint you think taking my time and doing light coats I could make it look nice and have it last the same as stock paint?

Any tips or tricks you found doing this would be a great help to me. I figure the scotch bright prep then denatured alcohol and air compressor would get the surface perfect. I just worry about getting the paint down in the lug holes and between the spoke areas.

As far as clear coat I think it would look dumb shinny and for my black car I would do the Graphite Gray. I just think the clear coat would allow the rims to clean up easier but I dont really think a glossy finish would look good. Perhaps there is something less glossy then semi-gloss I could use to finish them up.
