Corksport vs. Turbo XS

Alright I've done the research, I know all I need to know about each dp/rp combo. I just cant freaking decide which setup I want to plop the dollars down on. Convince me which setup to buy people. First to 3 I'm buying.(first)

I has corksport. TurboXS is LOUD from what people have said. Corksport is louder than stock...especially at WOT. It really comes down to the sound you like more I think...they are both int he same price range and nice

Corksport you can get 10% off when you buy directly from them (was 860 shipped for whole tbe)

From what I have read, the corksport downpipe appears to have the greater potential if you continue into more advanced mods. On the other hand, one mechanic raved about how simple TurboXS made it to install theirs by including a couple of thoughtful touches. Either way, the biggest headache is getting the factory part out, and you really can't lose with either one, as just about anything would be a big improvement over the factory part.
I realize that this isn't giving a definitive recommendation the way you wanted, but I don't have either part, much less both, so I am not qualified to give a recommendation.

i havent gotten any CEL with the turbo xs rp/dp setup but assuming you won't get them with the CS DP/RP combo, I'd go with the CS setup b/c the CS rp has hangers.

i want the turbo xs setup also but my questions are 1. has everybody thats installed a tbe gotten smoke or is it random and 2. would a boost controller turned down to 16psi be good until more money is available to get cobb ap ect... and yes i have searched but havent found what i want

Turbo xs claims to give a lot of whp from their racepipe and downpipe alone (bringing the ms3 to 291whp)..are these numbers accurate and i also want to know how much whp does the corksport setup produces. I want to buy a catback first for my car but I want to know if later I upgrade to a TBE which will give more whp.

You cant compare one companies claimed gains to another.

You will not reach 291whp with a downpipe and test pipe alone, their claims sound generous.

Im not sure if there have been a fair TurboXS vs Corksport DP/RP dyno.

thanks for the quick response :)..Im just a little confused on which cbe i want (Corksport, Turbo XS and if i get the money Cp-e). I would like to know which TBE setup has given the best gains so far.

Generally, one CBE exhaust is not going to make significantly more power over another. Check out Youtube and search for the different exhausts on an MS3. Choose which one you like the sound of most. The Corksport sounds awesome to me, so does the Greddy.

i love the corksport sound which is the exhaust system im most drawn to. i know the cbe wont give that much power im just thinking on which cbe should i get now so when i later upgrade to a full tbe what setup would render most power. i havent seen to many people happy with the turbo xs setup and most of all the users have corksport or cp-e. it would be awesome to see dyno comparisons of a corksport, turbo xs and cp-e tbe hehe

The exhaust sounds mostly like a way to spend $800 on 5 horses and noise, or if you have done every other mods and you are looking to squeeze out the last bit of power. Don't get me wrong, my Integra could be heard a half mile down the road and I loved it, but now I am looking into an agressive sound without excessive volume... and price is also a factor.

I have owned loud cars and really enjoy the more refined power of the speed.... but I want it to bark when I nail the throttle. I am looking into the turbo xs stealthback system. Under $400 shipped, great gains, upgradable to full TBE and not a s***-ton of extra volume. Bolts up to the factory system left in place.

JSC Speed, one of our sponsors, also sells the stealthback. Check their site for more info.

Not trying to force my view on anyone else, just saying this is what I'm planning on and maybe the info will help someone else.

I couldnt agree more. The TurboXS stealthback is simply their downpipe and race pipe, while keeping the stock catback. This can be accomplished with any downpipe/race pipe combo. That price is awesome, especially when the CS system costs $450 (DP and RP).

Under 400 shipped for TXS DP and RP? Damn sounds like a good deal to me. Corksport is only a great deal if you buy the DP and CBE or the whole TBE (10% off)

Mid life good call. The full Turbo back exhaust, that removes restrictions and increases flow and reduces heat wil do a lot of good stuff for your motor. As Corksport owner, I have a Significant gain in performance. And I would like to think that Turboxs would be similar. The down pipes are the key.

aaronc7 and ericrapp did any of you dyno your car when you installed your corksport TBE?? if you did, what were the gains?

No dyno but gained at track even with my poor 1/4 mile experience. Raced once last year and once this year. Alot of mid low fourteens and a lucky 14.02 with mscai last year. Cork Exhaust and TMIC 13.75 wth a poor 60. I have real tires now. The full exhaust is a very significant thing but you want a high flow cat for emissions spec. A couple more parts on without tune , i will go to track and see if I can improve 60.

The sound

The exhaust was obviously tuned for tone, besides performance. The sound across the rpms is almost worth the price of admission. Do it. You to will giggle

i know..its awesome hehe. Corksport has done an excellent job producing an exhaust. I have to see for how much $$$ I can get any of them, that would be the factor now. Here in Puerto Rico is kind of hard to get parts shipped and are expensive to do so. There are turbo xs distributors here but no corksport, i have to see for how much can i get any.

im torn on these decisions..corksport and turbo xs sound really good. Which one do you people think i should get?
