notice how much the inner stud had to be cut in order to fit.
compare to the other studs.
about 2.5 threads were cut off.

this is the stud kit that i purchased from Kragen.
this is zinc plated hardened steel studs.
when i took it to a shop to get cut, the guy there broke his blade on one of these.
i'm glad i had an extra one, cause he messed up the thread.
he ended up not cutting, but grinding down to the proper size.

Just curious, at the bottom of the stock piece there is that part that sticks out to the side. What does that hook up to and why doesn't the CS one have it?

that's where it connects to the transmission.
no need for it really.....i'll be using stiffer kartboy hangers anyway.
 
So sexy.......it'll work out great for you I know it. If it's anything like my 3" your going to have a huge smile on your face and be like "Holy Mother of all that is Sacred!!!!"

Is the stock s-pipe really that much more restrictive? I mean, you hear about massive gains from the downpipe back, but would you notice anymore if you add the larger s-pipe to that configuration?
 
Did you install it this weekend? If so how is the fitment? Did you feel a noticeable difference in power? And how hard was the install?
 
WHAT!? you went and got a S-pipe,and you don't even have hard pipes yet?you know what your next mod should be then don't you?
