TITS! Yeah, $40 for two pieces of molded poly blah blah blah BUT I didn't have to spend another $50 for a mount I already had. PLus, I got stickers, a t-shirt, and a packaging foam!

No vibes at all. none. None with the AC on. It feels no different driving normally. I thought for a while as the car was warming that I had just spent $40 for a tshirt.

Once warm...I hammered on it. Feels extremely solid and tight. car doesn't seem to hop like it did previously and feels great in between shifts.
I'm not sure why I didn't do this earlier.

p.s. Thanks to Rotus for the short cut on removing the 3 19mm bolts rather than using a prybar to get the mount out. That was much easier.

They are definitely a nice cheap alternative to the replacement mounts for sure. And like you said very little vibes. And much improved shifting.

But, I put a set on the wifeys normal 3 hatch and it feels like your teeth are going to rattle out, I even went back under the car to make sure I did it right. I convinced her to give it some time to break in but if they don't I'll pulling them back out. So normal mazda3's be advised.

I just went the redneck cheap route and did mine this weekend using the old Epoxy method.

However, I must agree it is probably the best mod I have done to date.

inserts .....
better than stock.......sure
better than a replacement mount ...... not even close !

yep .... i helped design the TRZ mount.
we tested both AWR mounts
CS inserts
even the SU mount.
we wanted to make the best product on the market.
and you cant make claims like that unless you are sure !
of the upgrades listed the inserts and the AWR 70 duro were pretty much tied for LAST place. they offer VERY little added support.

My CS inserts are still working well for me after 3-4 months. With current suspension mods added the car responds well in the corners and down a straight. An occasional stoplight launch is smooth when staying on the gas between gears.
I don't appreciate the rattling effect of the "best" replacement mounts. I should not have to pay extra to be uncomfortable but I realize some folks like the *feedback* from the stiffer replacement mounts.

well the thing with mounts is..... the stiffer they are the more support you gain. with the stiffness comes vibration. if you dont feel vibration, you didnt gain much. it is hard to find the best compromise between support and comfort. for those who prefer comfort, the AWR and inserts are better.
for those who want it for the added support and better throttle response will chose something a little more harsh. just filling the holes in the stock mount will limit the travel of the driveline, but it will never secure it. the factory rubber is just too damn flimsy.

i have the 70 awr mount and it works great. the difference was noticeable immediately! i get small amount of vib's but nothing to write home about. and it grabs with no hop at all ever. the best compromise between comfort and performance, so it seems to me, is the 70 awr mount. my.02

i had a 7o duro AWR for a while too.... then i took the car to the track and it tore the bushing right out of the mount ! then i went to the 88 duro. it didnt break, but it was still sloppy. then came the savior mount... TRZ !

Perhaps the replacement mounts are more designed for the 1/4 mile.
Numerous spirited back roads runs (with corners) have not alluded to any reasonable need to replace my inserts. For myself anyways.
The factory suspension is another matter, which I condone replacing.

thats all i bought mine for was the quarter once and a while. not that i dont tool on the car now and again but the launching need to be stiffer, and i dont need a solid mount.

im getting the trz doggy bone very soon, 1 week or so, then save up for full exhaust or maybe speed lowering springs

where can I buy these motor mounts? Are they hard to install? I am going to get the recall done this thursday, sould I still buy the mounts?

so the inserts are put on ALONG with the stock mount correct. yeah I don't know anything inside the engine bay. I barely know what's inside a comuter and I sell them. =p

yes, the inserts are put on with the stock motor mount.

once you get it all apart youll see.. it fits like a puzzle.
