Corksport race pipe?

I don't know if the flanges line up exactly, but it would at least be very close. If that was the case you'd need the corksport midpipe too, since that's what connects to the muffler. I don't think they sell that separately though.

So the CS muffler fits with the stock midpipe? I wonder if the CS racepipe fits with the Racing Beat muffler. (uhm)

The racepipe is a short section which replaces the 2nd catalyst in the system. You would have a 5-6 foot gap in your exhaust trying to run it with the racing beat muffler.

INSTALLED! so it's been on a few days now and no dyno so these are just my impressions. First, I used a different muffler shop tis time an both installers immediately commented on how nice the corksport exhaust was. The racepipe comes with 2 flex springs but the installers said they were too long and sealed the flanges at the connecting spots too tight so they felt there wold be 0 play in the spring and told me it might break at that spot since there was zero flex play. They used some shorter springs that they felt would fit better. I made them explain it all to me again and I agreed. Maybe corksport can chime in on this. The only reason it was so tight that can think of is that I installed the exhaust months ago so the exhaust piping was cut a bit tis time to put on the race pipe. This was nessary because the last muffler shop I went to welded the seams " to keep it tight". Needless to say this shop was much cleaner and let me be in the shop area while they worked.

Impressions: the sound is not louder, but deeper and a bit more aggressive sounding. I feel a bit of vibration from under the car now to compliment the sound and I mean all tis in a good way. We all know how good the 2 " feels" and this added vibration and sound...as minor if increase as it is.. makes the car "feel" even better. I could confidently say that there is a bit more power starting at the end of second gear thru fourth gear. I would guess it's only like 2 to 4 horsepower...just by feeling.

I would recommend this part if you are getting the exhaust. I took so long because I feared TXinspection but no error codes or engine lights have come on so I think I'm good to go. Sorry for the book and ask away if you have any question. Sorry for typos from my phone.

Wow ~ 4hp is a lot on this car! Every little bit helps. :)

Since I cut my stock exhaust, if I ever have to go back to stock in order to sell or something, is this something an exhaust shop can patch back together? Maybe by sliding a piece over the cut and rewelding or something?

The way I have it now with the stock 2nd cat, I figure I could just throw the stock muffler onto the Corksport part and be good to go, but it would probably be more noticeable with the racepipe that it wasn't stock still...

Edit -- Nevermind... I figured it out. :)

So h eres the pic of the shorter spring pretty compresed. Unfortunately I dont have a pic of the longer one. Looki g at it now I cant remember what the problem was other than the installer saying thete was no room for " play" or " flex" with tge longer spring. Mayybe the longer spring took up the entire bolt leaving the spring stuck in full compression? Sorry derrick at cs... I should have taken pics and gotten more info. Maybe I can call him n see if he remembers. Maybe somebody else can chime in with their experience. Sorry if pic didnt load.. not sure how from my phone. I.ll send it later if it doesnt load.

There is supposed to be a little bit of a gap in the springs so it has some give. There should have been 2 longer bolts which where included to allow you to use the stock springs.

Thanks derrick... they used a different spring to aid in providing the needed gap.. I dont think the longer bolts were in the box.. its holding up fine with no issues.. I.ll let u know if I have any problems.
