Corksport FMIC questions

Alright, just finished up my turbo xs stealthback install (which turned out great, couldn't be happier). I am currently waiting on my medieval turbo inlet to arrive and this is where my questions come in. My next item up to purchasing is the Corksport FMIC. It is my understanding that the corksport front mount intercooler kit comes with the intercooler, ram air intake, AND its own turbo inlet. My question is...I know I will have to get rid of my injen CAI to run this corksport, and that is fine, but what about the turbo inlet? Will I be able to run this corksport kit with the medieval turbo inlet? Is anything different in comparison between the inlet that comes with this FMIC kit and the normal inlets that are sold separately? This is just something I've been curious about.

i dont know the exact specs, but the corksport inlet that came with mine is definately a step above the stock, i dont know comparison wise so i cant help you, but you can use the medieval inlet as long as the size is relatively the same and u might need a different coupler, but i dont see the inlets being that different where you cant run them...

i love the corksport inlet and kit itself and havnt had any problems with it...

ALSO!!!!

did you get the inlet from corksport with the recirc option?? if so, and you dont end up using that one, and you use the medieval instead...

will you sell me your corksport inlet?!

i have the non recirc one when they first cmae out and would lvoe to have that one, ill trade too if u want, either or.

Well I haven't ordered it yet man, but I can arrange something with you if you want when I do order it. i can get the recirc option and then just sell you the inlet pipe from the corksport so you can have the recirc option. This is my graduation from college present in May :)

Everyone else who has this kit please chime in, just want to double check to make sure this will work.

i've got the corksport fmic, and from looking at pictures they look almost the same except that the corksport inlet has a rolled edge and a pipe for the recirc. if youre running a bpv or bov in recirc then youre better off with the corksport. just sell the medieval =)

Corksport Question

Hi I have a 2008 MS3 and recently bought the Corksport FMIC kit, I have not installed yet, but I was wondering,.....

has anyone had a problem with the seal between the Air filter with the grill that goes against it? I am fearfull of putting too much dirt into my engine if That Ram air thing was not properly designed.

Derrik, I would love to hear from you here to dissipate my fear.

has anyone installed this kit in a 2008???

Thanks guys.

yeah i installed it, and with the top stock intercooler shroud bolted tightly on top, it pretty much full seals it, plus blocks anyhting from going close to the edges... works great
