so, Ive got my exhaust on & besides some minor hanger issues I love it. I just have a ? tho. Now i am getting some nice carbon buildup on the body right above where the tip is. I know this car runs rich as hell but gees....

Now my ? is, is there anyway to help reduce this excess & what is the easiest way to get it & keep it off the body?

no it won't.....do you have cats with that exhaust?

If you don't that's why you are getting so much s***, i just have a catless dp and stock catback and i get a lot of black shiznit.

yeah...no cats, thats what i figured but just wasnt sure as to an easy way to keep it from building...besides wiping it off every day.

That s*** wont damage the paint will it?

by george i think he is on to something.... (2thumbs)
yea it wont affect anything by dis-con. i agree with hooked up... you could just run more boost to burn it up.. lol but.... then again... (omg) (omg) go boom boom.... j/k dont know what to tell ya.

a hi-flow cat won't even fix it, you have to get some sort of air-fuel timing (DSM afc, Unichip, MPI Tuner, etc.) and hopefully that would lean out the air fuel ratio so you wouldn't have so much buildup

You have a couple of options-
- Clean that spot with every wash (if you wash weekly like me).
- Paint the underlip black (see Wings West rear).
- Through tuning lean your car out so its not as rich...
- Put your cats back on.

Briefly I wanted to paint mine...but instead I clean it non-stop.
