well, there you go. easyer than you think. I know i dont have a welder so you should take that pipe to one before you start to have that bung welded in ther, and presto!! hand tools a blazing youll be done before your papa johns arives
NO. You don't need to weld a bung in. You don't need to do anything additional besides remove a bolt then screw the 02 in.

It makes it easier for a company to make things when there is actual interest and response. Which there has not been for a very long time in the MX-6 world. The flip side to what you said is Mazda guys are classic for saying they want something and never coming through.

However, I will take partial blame for things taking so long at CS regarding MSP parts. The intake is pretty much finished as of now. They just need to be produced on a large scale. Hard pipes will also be coming out in the near future. They're be a spot to add an additional injector and additional BOV (search for posts I've started for more detailed information). I might also add that CS is moving as of any time now. They're new shop will be much bigger and there will be more space to do more projects.

*I do not work for CS any longer, I just help them prototype parts now for those who are wondering my involvement.
I'd say there is SOME interest ina downpipe at the very least, and I know there are at least a few people on here with Corksport exhausts, or something that would bolt up to a full downpipe. If anyone sees anything concrete about a full downpipe that will bolt up to my Corksport exhaust (or the stock cat-pipe - same location, should work out) PLEASE let me know, I'll buy it immediately.

Oh, no... I wasn't meaning MSP guys. They're the biggest interested group of Mazda owners I had ever experienced! The Protege exhaust system sales went through the roof once it was confirmed they fit the MSP. lol

anybody have any idea if they'll be doing another group buy for the CS exhaust? i was in the group buy before but when it came time to get the "codes" i was very short on cash ?(my dog was sick). I went to the site and the codes no longer work so i blew that one.

I installed my Corksport exhaust yesterday and I AM IN LOVE WITH IT!!!!

it is the greatest exhaust note I have ever heard. I have no CEL yet and I have driven 100-150 miles on it already...

Did YOU'RE second O2 sensor just plug in?
In other words, was there already a bung for the second O2 sensor?
I'm still confused about this.

It leaves teh stock NA Downpipe off of the first cat. So the O2 sensor stays. I dunno where people have troubles.

Click for pic of where the O2 Sensor goes.

On the stock DP coming off the turbo (yeah yeah) you see the O2 sensor plugged in. Currently there is just a bolt there on the MSP. When you install your CS exhaust you will just need to move that sensor (which is between the cats I believe) to the spot shown in the pic and wire in your MIL if you do not get a cat to weld in. I hope that helped.

so all in all do you think it is worth it to get the corksport? Or should one spend the extra cash and get a 3 inch exahaust sys that cost double or triple the amount. I hear the iON and perrin are top notch exhaust out there too.

I, like so many other love the idea of under 400 bucks over 900 plus..I just want to know if it is worth the extra 500 plus bucks or not to pick up a 3 inch system? I would asume that a three inch would be great if I wanted to rip the turbo out and add a super turbo and make a none stop drag car. But for a little added pep the 13 claimed hp that corksport gets is right there with any other exhaust gain I read about for the msp? What would make iON or perrin any better if your not plaining on makeing monster hp with a larger turbo..??? I just want to know if the extra 5 or 6 inch of exhaust is worth 500 or 600 bucks? If someone can please explain how and why I would gladly spend the extra dough.

on personal note the exhaust from corksport sounds really nice from there clips on the website.

The 2.4" CS system will be fine up to around 300whp, after that you'd need 3". Personally I would wait for the perrin or ********** s/j-pipe combo to come out and see what the pricing is. I'm willing to be that the combo will be under $400, mean that for $700 you'd have the same thing as Ion sells for a grand except in 2.4"

I have the CS and love it. It is a bit loud, but still acceptable.
I have added a hi-flow cat to mine, so i no longer use the MIL eliminator.
The MIL did work while i used it though.
I never plan on changing turbos or runnng crazy boost, so for me the CS was the right choice.
I do hope someone though makes a Downpipe to work with this exhaust as it leaves the most restreictive stock part on the car, the J pipe or whatever it's called.
I'm sure the iON and Perrin will make more power, but I don't have $1000 for an exhaust. I picked mine up for $300.
My car breathes better and for my mods, it works well.
My 2 cents.

the perrin exhaust is little over 900 already so what your saying is the ********** is makeing an s/j pipe combo for the cs exhaust or is ********** going to have a full exhaust for 700? sorry to sound confuseing but the way I read it is with the price of the cs and the j/s pipe you will pay a total of about 700 give or take right? or where you saying streetunint is makeing a whole exhaust for 700? I dont think I can stomach a over a grand for an exhaust unless I was getting fujitsubo for my EVO, and even then its hard to do.

as of now I dont know what my hp rateing is but I have fmic (wagner kit) mbc (set to spike 10 and rest on 8 threw redline) Custom intake and type s bov( all ss hardpipes) other than a few cosmetics thats it. I know I need an exhaust because the car feel so held back. It just alot easier to stomach 300 or so bucks over a grand or so.

If I read what you put right I will go ahead and buy the cs exhaust possible and then get the s/j pipe combo when it is rdy, thats if I read you right.

As far as the cs being loud they offer a silencer and I thought it sounded okay on there website. But how is the cabin sound MS MSP?

I just can't see spending upwards of 2 grand (ION fo example) for an exhaust. I don't care if Jesus himself welded it...I just wouldn't be buying it. Compared to other exhausts on the market you get a lot with the CS with little money. For the prices CS show for their J or whatever pipe to make my exhaust a full turbo back...I would have spent UNDER $500 bucks. You spend over $500 just for a cat back system. Then another $300 for mid-pipe and whatever for the J-pipe. Why? Most go custom because they can get them a hell of a lot cheaper. I would have but the CS was too sweet. I love my exhaust and do not regret buying it. Also the exhaust is not loud outside the car. I think it's the sound material in our cars or lack of it, but I could be wrong.

Ok sorry im done. And my prices were based of when I was searching for an exhaust earlier this year. Of course I have one now so I don't need to keep up to date with all others pricing.

I think the system sounds amazing.... It's not too loud, it may be on the NA cars, but it's PERFECT on the MSP. It sounds like power, not an added on system. The muffler can they use on that system is also available by itself. I used that can on my Probe GT with 2.5" pipe. It sounded amazing on that too.

And due to the quality, price, sound, and overall performance of their style of systems I will also be getting their system for my RX-8 once I get it.

:thumbs-up:

Well its seems like a right system if your not going for monster hp but a more so a peppy everyday driver.

how is the sound inside the car?

At about 3-3800 it gets a little loud inside but bleeds off at higher rpm. It's not too loud though. The exhaust is not raspy and changes tone in the higher rpm. I love it and im happy with it. If you want it to be non-existent you can drive like a grandma and you wont hear (at least I dont). I love the backfire. That is really cool. I even get it when my car is at idle. Also, I love driving under bridges, I almost wet my pants one time because it sounded so good.

Overall, I think this exhaust has a good balance for me. It's there when I want it and not when I don't. Great for in city driving and nice for highway but I would say don't drive too long. Like I said, I think its louder in the car because of lack of sound material. Before I got the exhaust I could hear dirt hit my car so when driving it kinda give you a false sense of what the exhaust is really like but its still cool inside. If you get it...drive around town inside your car and then have a buddy drive it as you follow him in another car so you can hear what others hear during cruising, or under a heavy load.

I sorta do but then I don't. If I did it would take me a little bit to get it up and posted. And I do not have the silencer but I will purchase one soon as I am about to take a road trip.

I also love the backfire, and the flames! Its true- on my 1-2 and 2-3 shifts in the dark, you can see faint flames!!!!!!

Sometimes, the backfire can get annoying if you are trying to be quiet. But, gotta love it!
