Coolant Temps/ Thermostat

:
'03.5 MSP(Yellow!)
Ok, I'm noticing higher temperature readings than I expected after installing the temp gauge in the MSP. I'm getting around 210 when I'm cruising around and it's 70-80 degrees out. The fans doesn't even come on until around then either. The right fan only comes on if the A/C is on. My stock temp gauge still hasn't left its middle position though. It's gotten as hot as 240-245, and the gauge still hasn't moved. Just wondering why the heck it's so hot, and if peoeple are getting similar readings to this.

why? it's simple... your radiator is simply overworked... upgrade it!

Erm...why would it be overworked? I'm not even making boost...much less over 1/2 throttle. I'm simply trying to determine if there might be a block somewhere or something like that.

"making boost" or not doesn't matter... you have a T3 and other upgraded parts... turbos spin fast and run hot regardless of whether you're "making boost" or not.... the fact is, a bone stock MSP already can barely cool sufficiently, so when you start putting more s*** on it, it'll just make things run hotter!

yup, or u could get a electric fan.... n have it wired into the cabin n flip it when it gets to hott for u. but i would suggest getin a radiator if ur goin to mod more.

It won't see any more mods. I think the source of the problem might be the giant bend in my radiator piping that is necessitated by the turbo being where it is.
That is, if it's a problem at all. Does anyone have any readings?
