CX-5 Green coolant temperature light meaning?

I'm keeping my son's Mazda CX-5 while he is out of the country. I noticed today that the coolant temperature light was on, but it's not red or flashing, it's just green. What does that mean? Do I need to put coolant in?
I know nothing about this car except how to turn it on and off, and put gas into it.
I pushed a button on the dash accidentally that says "Auto On" and has the red and blue markings like an a/c knob. I tried to push it again and turn it off, and it didn't. I don't know what it is or how to turn it off.
Thanks for your help. He doesn't have a manual in the car, and I looked at the one online but couldn't find any info on these things.

You're sure it's not blue (as in color blind 🫤)? It will be blue when you first start it until the engine warms up a bit.

BTW: the "auto on" know is to activate the climate control system. To turn it off, hit the "off" button on the HVAC panel.

How long does it stay blue? It was green up until today, and when I started it, it turned blue. I let it run a little while, about 5 minutes, and it's still blue.

Depends on how long the engines been sitting, ambient air temp, etc. It might stay blue for awhile if it's just idling. Best to drive it then see how long it takes to go out. Usually takes a few miles to get it up to the engine temp. that causes the blue light to go out. Thats probably only around 120F - 130F.
Fully warmed up is around 200F

On the turbo with the temp gauge you can see that it takes quite a while to get up to 200F.

Thank you so much! I'm nort used to all these fancy features. I drive a Chevy Sonic and I still don't know how to use half the features it has. The CX-5 dashboard looks like something from Star Trek to me! I got a copy of the manual and my next task is to figure out the HVAC system. This morning, I did something wrong and one side of the car was blowing hot air and one was blowing cold. I finally fixed that, but this is just too complicated for an old lady like me who was raised on cars without computers.
