coolant leak

i did a search and i read all the threads about the leak but i still have a question. i know i have "the leak" but i was wondering if anyone elses coolant is as low as mine. I only have 4000 miles on my car and the coolant level is right in the middle between low and full. I cant find any residue under the hood, i dont know im takin it into mazda next week.

Well some have said that it is more visible from under the car. I still think I have one, minor but there b/c I smell something sweet after driving, like coolant but cannot really see any residue.

Yes mine's leaking coolant like yours and I can see it from the top/front of the engine but even better if I crawl under the car and look at the front part of the engine from there. Plus my car STILL smells like nasty-ass piss after a drive and I'm assuming that's the burnt coolant.

My coolant was OVER the "full" line when I drove off the lot (moron dealership) and it is now exactly 1/2 way between "low" and "full" - just like yours. I'm going to get to the dealership one of these days but am WAITING for the stinking hesitation fix so I can get 2 birds with 1 stone. If I was you I wouldn't worry about it until it gets below the "low" line -- I drove my 88 olds with NO visible coolant in the reservoir for 3 straight years without a problem (it had coolant in it, but none in the visible reservoir - so it was way below the "low" line that whole time).

Well mine is leaking coolant on the upper radiator hose going to the engine. There are green spots on the hose and on other parts in the area. And mine is in the middle too and has been down to just above the LOW line. Right now that damn radiator hose is on backorder... I have been waiting almost 2 MONTHS!! This is bulls***... im so use to doing my own work on my car, I cant stand waiting on some idiot dealership. I just dont understand how no one in the US has this damn hose, its BS!! I just wanna get some stainless steel hoses and put those on!

i know i have the leak, that green crusty stuff is all over the place (i was smelling it long before i saw it forming)...anyway, it seems small (i still have a lot of coolant b/c they topped it off at the oil change, no crsuty stuff then) but its defitnetly those stupid clips, i want to see if they can get me some clamps instead.

I know right, those clamps are bad. I just wanna tell them, give me the new ones and ill put them on. Because they have those in for me and some other bushings for the clunk but they wanna wait for the hose to get it all done at once
