Convert my car into stick?

think about all the fastest turbod cars
Mitshu 3000GT, Dodge Stealth, Nissan 300ZX, Nissan Skyline GT-R, Toyota Supra, need I name more?

The only reason there is a sudden burst of "new" 4-cylinder turbo'd car's, is their cheap and easier to work on. That doesn't make them better. There is no replacement for displacement, either turbo'd or otherwise.

The main disadvantage of a 4-cylinder turbo is the lack of umf prior to turbo spin-up..when out of the boost range, a I4 is significantly slower then a standard NA I4, simply due to differences in compression, timing, and fuel...so if you go gung ho, and slap a big ass turbo on one, your going to be fast sure...but its just as possible that little instant torque monster electric hybird is going to kick your ass off the line.

An excellent example of this was last weeks autoX in manassas, VA. The EVO's and Sti's were utterly crippled by the size of the course, unable to bring any amount of boost into play, and for more then half the course, were running without the turbo's spun up, allowing such car's as the much lower hp Mazda 6i MTX, to totally slaughter them.
 
also have to take into consideration the turbo is a restriction on the exhaust till it starts to spool...bulletproof axles anc clutches alow you to launch at higher rpms to decrease the "turbo lag"....NX kit will help me decrease "auto lag" (Nobody can steal my term!)

if you are on the other side of the parking lot or I fly past you at night they can easly be mistaken for a V6....but thats not the original intent. showing that it wasn't was the original intent
 
mazdaspeed6 is not going to be a twinturbo but its going to use 2.3 its a very good motor for turbo, it loves boost. Once again its all on the driver and the set up alot of those sti, evo are unexperinced drivers. b/c if you look at the pros the srt4 is doing great in AutoX. as far as power down low? these saml turbos ie t25 spool pretty much instantly same with alot of the dsm cars. I mean come on you just said how the srt4 goes through 3 gears.. with no power down low?

i my bud has a 2.3 ford motor on stock internals turbod and it traps 115 in the 1/4 i mean come on and the 4 banger mustang thier working should be faster then an supercharged v8 putting mroe then 400 horses out.
 
chrysler is working in it's me43(SP?) quad turbo v10 or 12
 
see now theres a beast that will have no power down low and waist insane amounts of gas. Prob going to use like 4 t3s or something retarded and a single larger turbo would do the job....
 
If this computer wasn't sloooow i'd look up the full specs and times but what I do remember is it weighed like maybe 500 600 pounds more than SRT-4(2869) and is all carbon fiber body and has like a million leds for the rear tail lights. But any hoo turboed 4 cyls are the new thing of this time and the Michelins MXV4 Plus's need to go as of yesterday!!!
 
yea but theres another article that says there a turbocharged version and no desicions have been made as to if itll make production.
 
i wonder how much the sticker price is gonna be for the mazdaspeed6?
also do we even know if they are ever going to make one???????????
 
I heard that their going to use the old Corsiar V12, and the car will be able to launch from an aircraft carrier.
