Conversion Complete: Suby to MS3 and loving it!

I got a Sport as well. I can't say that putting 55watt HID's in the sport will compare to putting them in a GT unless you upgrade the projector in the sport.

The GT has the proper projector for HID's that gives you the right cutoff, and it's adjustable. HID's in a sport without upgraded projectors will end up projecting too high and pissing off/endangering others on the road.

There's nothing wrong with the Sport trim. I got it mostly because the deal was much better from my dealer vs. the GT he had. My last car was decked out with leather and all the fancy s***, but it was a P5 putting less than 100whp to the ground. My Sport MS3 doesn't make me miss my old car much at all (although I do prefer the exterior look of the Protege5 to the MS3).

Oh wait, there's a Sport vs. GT thread in these forums. Sorry about the derail!

That NASIOC thread is a good read! I'm on page 11! I was drooling over WRX's back in '04. And I'd love to have an STI or '09 WRX given the opportunity.

my lights arent high at all. i actaully think they can be adjusted atlittle higher which i will do when i feel like pulling off my bumper again

as i said, IMO the GT isnt worth it b/c the blose system i would have pulled out b/c its not good enough quality. which means my radio as well so thats the fuel computer taken out. i would have upgradeds the factory HIDs b/c they are bright enough for my liking, the leather seats are nice. but i hate cold seats when its cold or hot seats when its hot.

i dont want anyone scratching or puncturing the leather.

so the only thing i want off the GT are the LED tail lights

This thread has become Sport vs. GT all over again :(

Kain, can you PM me a link to that group buy or something? Thanks dogg.

I'll just say this, I went (and I think many others did too) with the GT over the Sport not because the HIDs or the Bose were the best available because if that were the case Mazda wouldnt have been a good choice. The GT package mirrors the general "bang for your buck" that you get with the MS3 from the get go. It packs in alot of features for not that much money.

The HIDs might not be the best available, but they can be adjusted from inside the car which for me is a "cool" feature. Plus the auto on/off feature is very convenient.

Who doesnt like LED tails?

Auto windshield wipers seem to work pretty well but its more of a "fluff" upgrade.

As mentioned the leather/alcantra interior is amazing. I dont know what can puncture leather and still be safe on cloth??? Also, as the majority of the seat is Alcantra, the whole temperature thing just doesnt make sense.

There may be better sounding factory stereos than this Bose but what it comes with makes up for it. I love having the MPG/distance etc display. As far as I can tell its not the easiest process for most to swap out the stereo and fuel consumption display let alone the cost involved.

So basically $1000 more gets you ALOT.

Nevertheless, the whole GT vs. Sport thing doesnt really matter as we all can appreciate the real reason the MS3 is such a great car, right? For that we all can relate.

you are right. but as said. the bose-blose. in everycar. i have a G35 as well and its no good in there. its better in the G35 sedan b/c they set up the sound stage better in the sedan. but Blose is wack. just a name

Drive a pontiac G6. their stock system in those blow the blose out of the water.

i would end up ripping out the blose, going to throw in a Double Din dvd/nav so thats the fuel computer gone.

dont really care about auto wipers since i use RainX

HIDs would have been upgraded. so IMO the GT was pointless for someone like me. that is an extra 1000 spent into nothing when it can go to towards speakers amp and subs

im always worried about being getting into my G. and messing up or scratching my leather. my boys seats in his 350z are scratched up

but as you said "Nevertheless, the whole GT vs. Sport thing doesnt really matter as we all can appreciate the real reason the MS3 is such a great car, right? For that we all can relate."

im in total agreement with you

Wow! Some folks really have a hard on for trying to justify their purchase.

No s***. I could give a **** if every other car in this class suddenly has more horsies. I'll still enjoy my car because I feel it's worth the price of ownership. I don't need the latest and greatest to be happy in life.

justification?

for some reason you seem to think that having a GT which is only 1000k more than that the Sport makes you a baller or something haha.

haha, you are a sad case man.

if you like to ride stock. then the GT is right for you. it would have been a waste for me.

stock isnt good enough for me
