controling other kind of audio via steering control

Hello!
I've installed an Alpine cda 9831.I would like to use the steeringweel control,but I don't know how.Unfortunetly A&B sound asked 100$ for it.
If it's doable I would try.Is there anyone,hwo can help me with this?

i know that the 2006 alpine models are ready for oem steering wheel use,with some kind of adapter,but for the 9831 wich is a 2004 model,i dont think so,if you find something,tell me about it,cause i have a 2004 model to from alpine....

your best bet is to prob going to your local audio/video store and see what they say. thats their job so they have to know and if they dont im sure they can look it up
