confused about two items

Hello:

Trying to configure the mazda5 I am looking to buy, and still confused on two items, that seem to say different things both on the edmunds site and even in the 2007 5 catalog.
1) The door protectors(I am not sure what you call them. Are they standard or options? Is that the same thing as the door edge protectors. If so, I have never seen an m5 without out, but in the catalog they show it as a dealer option.

2) The upgraded 6 cd in the touring. In the catalog it says the touring has six cds, six speakers and mp3 connection. Yet when you look at the specifications and feature listings page, it doesnt mention mp3 connection. Thats kind of important.

Kindly clue me on. Trying to take the wife for a second test drive tomorrow.

confusion

okay, I think only edmunds confused about the mp3 player. It looks like the mp3 player is a dealer installed module? I got this correct??

Yeah...dealer installed option.

Door edge protectors? Another dealer ripoff...er...option. Get 'em yourself at any parts store for a mere fraction of the price.

My dealer had a "Protection Package!" Consisted of door edge guards and the same kinda crap glued on the the fender wheels.

Total parts cost in the real-world? 'bout $15.

Your retail cost? THREE HUNDRED EFFIN' DOLLARS! (shocked)

Plus, it looked stupid...

I think the MP3 they're referring to is the optional 6 disc changer that plays MP3 encoded CD-Rs? I also know there was something called a PhatBox, but I don't know if that was a dealer/factory item or aftermarket.
