Compustar Alarm Review

Well I just got the new Compustar P2W9000-SS Alarm installed in my speed. And let me tell you, the thing is worth the money. I ended up paying $690 installed by a shop I wouldn't have to worry about. (I was not about to have a Best Buy horror story) The install took them about 4 hours, and when I picked up the car everything was working perfectly.

Now onto the alarm it self. The mile range in holding up to what it's supposed to do pretty well. I have been inside a house, inside my appartment building (about 4 walls and 50 yards) and I don't see a drop in the signal. The remote start and everything still works as it should. Tomorrow I will update with some actuall distance between the remote and car. Now onto the remote start with the car being a manual. When I turn off the car and pull the key out the car remains running like a turbo timer, but this is what the call reservation mode. This just lets the car make sure it's not in gear for when I remote start. I have it set so 10 seconds after closing the last door the car will shut off and the alarm will arm. This gives me enough time to close my door then open the back door to get my stuff. (The time resets if I open another door within 10 seconds). I also have the option to press lock and it shuts down the car and arms the alarm right away.

As far as the 2 way remote goes it's pretty awesome. It's as far as I know the only TRUE 2 way remote out there currently. Before my remote tells me it started the car it waits to make sure its running then sends me a page saying it is, so there is no second guessing.

Other then that it's just the basic stuff every alarm has. I deffinetly recomend this alarm to anyone else with a manual car. I just wana go play with the remote some more.

Post up any questions you may have.
