Coming Soon! Phenolic Thermal Insulating Gaskets

Looks like I'll also have TB spacers and hopefully coolant bypasses read for you guys as well. I'm turning the machine shop loose on them this coming week, so hopefully have parts in about 7 days or so.

Later!

I had expected the machine shop to be cutting them today or tomorrow, but haven't gotten word. I expect I'll have them in stock by the end of next week including throttle body spacers. I'll have final cost at that point, but as of now it looks like if anything it will go down a bit. So stay tuned!

If you have any questions, just let me know and I'll do anything I can to answer them.

Thanks!

btw.. msprotege.com has been weird with me lately and doesn't send me thread updates... so I'll check back as often as I can!

Just a quick update for you guys... the machine shop did NOT cut them this week, Word is they will be available at the end of next week. I will hold them to it!

Thanks for your patience!

Confirmed with the shop today that they have the parts at the cutter and I should get them on Friday.

Thanks guys!

Steve

Hey guys. The gaskets are done! :) I'm going tomorrow morning to get them. I'll be able to ship by Monday for any and all orders. I'll post additional pictures tomorrow too. And this weekend I'll write the full how-to with pictures and publish it on our website.

Thanks much!

Is that the IM and TB gaskets? How about the coolant bypasses? Final pricing yet? You know I'm in slick!

I will have both IM and TB gaskets... I'll double check the fit on the TB's on my mani's as that has not been done just yet... the coolant bypass part of things we'll also have worked out, but doesn't require a fitting from what I have worked out right now.... but I will provide caps for the open nipples... so that should cover you guys. Final pricing... 72 for a set or 48 for an IM by itself, or 25 for the TB by itself. The test car did not need any additional gaskets or the like, so we will stick with that format, and you will just simply have to pull the IM back, slip the spacer onto the studs and close things up!

Have a good one,

Steve

So that means you have both the TB and IM gaskets in Poly-carbonate for the 1.6 liter?

These are for the 2.0L, but if you can get the 5 people for the 1.6 I can turn those out in about 2-3 weeks.

Thanks!

How much more expensive? Would the Poly-carbonate ones be more expensive as well? Would you be able to do the TB in addition to the IM for the 1.6?

we can probably swing it at 3 or 4, but they'll be more expensive..

we only do the poly-carbonate as they are more machineable and provide better insulation than phenolic. We woudl do the TB and the IM at the same time. AS far as how much more expensive... about 10 bucks more across the board.

I have all the parts in and in stock. If you would like yours shipped on Monday please contact me with payment and shipping information by 2:00 on Sunday. You can contact me at any point after that as well and I will ship as soon as possible. But for those of you looking to see them at your door this week I'll be taking payments until 2:00 on Sunday for shipment on Monday.

Have a good one!
