Coloured Fog Lights In Ontario

Hey, thinking about getting Blue rockblocker fog lights on my silver 2002. I really like the look, and I asked a cop about the whole legal issue and he said "it's not technically illegal, but it's risky. It's close to illegal, so you might get pulled over, but you can fight it and win." So i'm just wondering, does anybody (in ontario) have coloured fog lights, and if so, have you had any legal problems?

im sure it depends on your area.... i know the closer to toronto the more anal they are but I am pretty sure you would be fine. I know in my area cops don't really pay attention to that kind of stuff.. it isn't your headlights so.

Just read your post about getting blue fog lights. I am a police officer and I can tell you that the Highway Traffic Act states that you cannot have any colours other that white and amber facing forward on a vehicle. The chances of getting pulled over all depends on the police officer. Most officers could care less about that, but you could definatley be pulled over and given a ticket for having a different colour facing forward and it doesnt matter if they are headlights or fog lights. Hope this is helpful. Oh yeah...not all of us are anal...I wouldn't give you a ticket for that.

I have the blue rockblocker for my fogs and headlights and smoked for my tails. My car sits at the Sheriff's Office 40+ hours a week. It is also not legal in Arizona to have anything covering your lights. The blue rockblocker shines white when your lights are on. I have not had any body from work even notice my blue fogs or lights.

you'll be fine. Just turn the fogs off if you see a cop and are super paranoid. I've had yellow fogs in Toronto for close to 3 years now as well as smoked tails....never had one issue. I suppose it's really a crap-shoot, because you could get lucky that one day and be pulled over. But chances are they will let you off with a warning. Even if they give you a ticket, it would be easy enough to fight it and have the charges dropped.
