Color-matched Emblems

I passed a black Infiniti G35 Coupe this morning and his rear emblem was painted blackto match. It looked nice but many times, black is really the only color people use to paint their emblems.

I got to thinking, what would a color-matched Mazdaspeed3 or other emblems look like on the car? Any opinions? I doubt I will do this but was wondering if anyone had.

It would be great to see some pictures. Im sure black on black will come up. However, what about true red on true red or cosmic blue on cosmic blue. If my Photoshop would stop crashing I would try and come up with an image but maybe someone can help me out.

Shaving them would be better...the only reason I color match mine is because I dont feel like putting money into having the tiny emblem holes filled in and repainted. And I regret doing the one in my front grill because the paint is all chipped off from rocks.

Eh, Im not one for removing the emblems. My GTI had them removed when I got it and I actually replaced the ones in the rear. I dont mind that the emblems are on the car but I was thinking that maybe painting them to match the color of the car would help disguise them.

It would probably prove to be more expensive to do than the actual benefit gained but its all about how you want it to look. Maybe if you got really creative, paint the edges of the emblem black and the top color matched.

These are all ideas im throwing out there...alternatives to de-bagding.
