Cold Air Intake on a automatic

Is this pointless or is it worth getting? I have a 07 auto 3 hatch and I believe thats basically all i can do to my motor right? Any help would be appreciated.

It depends on what you want, and whether it is inspected by the state. On my car, I have a catback (I have the ATX) but not an intake.

a CAI is worth it on an automatic.. i had one on my 3 and im going to get one for my 5 which is automatic also( i didnt want auto)

Well, I traded in my '05 Infiniti G35 Sedan w/ a 6 Speed at Ingram for my new '08 Mazda 3s GT Hatchback. I went with the auto due to living in N/NW SA and my families ranch in the hills of Boerne. Now that I'm living down here in HECK (Valley), I wish I would have bought a Speed6. ugh

Paid too much for it, AND, it does not give you the HP listed on their site. I paid $500 for it. It took a few 100 miles to get them to kick in.

Are they able to modify the shift points in the ATX or do they mess with that?

I will do that. I have not seen that too much. Hypertech is able to do that with some makes of cars, but not with the Mazda to my knowledge. Hypertech does have a tuner for the MZ3 as well.

They had a brand new 2010 MZ3 when I was there during the summer. They had several German vehicles there too.

If you are not close to the center where they reflash the ECU, do you need to ship the ECU to them and they ship it back with the reflash?
